****Half Life 2 Theme****

To use the halflife2theme.msstyles file (desktop theme), you must download StyleXP, a program that you 
can download from the TGT Software webite at: http://www.tgtsoft.com 

1. Extract the .zip file to your c:\windows\resources\themes. 

2. Do Start > Settings > Control Panel to open the control panel. 

3. Double-click the Display icon and go to the Appearance tab. 

4. Select the theme from the "Windows and Buttons" list and hit the Apply button.

To use the halflife2login file (logon screen), you need LogonStudio, which you can find at this address: 
http://storage.stardock.com/files/LogonStudio_rc6.exe 

Once installed, just double click the file to bring it up in the program window, then click apply.

You can install the ntoskrnl.exe file manually by following these steps:

1. Backup (copy) the original boot screen file C:\windows\system32\ntoskrnl.exe 
 
2. Extract ntoskrnl.exe to a directory other than C:\windows\system32 

3. Reboot your computer into Safe Mode (hit F8 before the boot screen) or into true DOS (from a boot disk) 

4. Overwrite the file C:\system32\ntoskrnl.exe (which should have been backed up) with the extracted exe 

5. Reboot your computer as you normally would

To use the Wallpaper.jpg file just extract the file to your My Pictures folder, right click it, (or open 
with Miscrosoft Windows Picture and Fax Viewer) and select 'set as desktop background'. Alternately you can 
select it manually in display properties.
