A deathmatch map carved in solid binary rock. A recent project which was quite fun to make. Themed as an abstract yet in some way feasible industrial area in the middle of nowhere. Cramped in places, crazy open in others yet still hardly reaches 1000 polies for the sake of all you people with Pentium 1 all the way up to 3. If you ever wanna play this feel free not to die at quakeroach.net:27019
Title : mortise a Half-Life deathmatch map Filenames : maps/mortise.bsp maps/mortise.txt maps/mortise.res sound/ambience/torn_water2.wav Date : 4 April 2019 Author : ribcage (dragoslt~at~yahoo~dot~com) Players : ~12? Other maps: neverending - a collaboration with Trempler To install this map put all files into their according folders in your Half-Life directory as listed above. Your Half-Life directory may be similar to this on Windows: C:\Program Files\Steam\steamapps\common\Half-Life\valve C:\Sierra\Half-Life\valve On Linux: /home/yourname/.local/share/Steam/steamapps/common/Half-Life/valve Styled as an abstract warehouse and waste drainage location. This map contains interiors and open outside areas, however w_poly hardly reaches 1000 so you should be able to happily play this on your ancient 1998 computer. Should suit players who like to wildly hop around as well as those who enjoy camping. Tools used: J.A.C.K., VHLT 34 compilers, Map2Curve by ToTac (http://gibshooter.com). Thanks to rufee for a HL server at quakeroach.net:27019 where this map can be played.
