In a deal worked out late last night between Microsoft and video games giant EA games Bungie was sold to Ea games for 1.52 billion dollars. EA’s head Lawrence F. Probst stated in a press release “This (the purchase of Bungie) is a great addition that will help Ea expand its first person shooter base.” Microsoft’s Bill Gates based his reasons for selling Bungie on the fact they have completed very little in the past year and will not have Halo 3 done any time in 2006. In the deals of the contract Microsoft will still publish Halo 3 and Halo 2 PC, but EA will publish all future titles. The reaction from Bungie is mixed. Some like the move to a bigger company with more resources. Others dislike the change and intend to leave Bungie for other Microsoft studios. Frankie is leaving Bungie. His main reason is that EA will rush their games, and he will not have as much of a say as he did under Microsoft.
