File Description

This mod from Ducktape adds UNSC, Covenant and Flood AI to the forest of Timberland. Their AI scripts have been modified, making the mod much more challenging than just a campaign mission, as the AI are both more perceptive and aggressive. No more hiding in cover and popping up to take shots for you...

The general atmosphere of the map has been modified as well; it now feels much more like 343 Guilty Spark, as the time of day is now night-time and a thick grey-ish mist has been added.

Various weapon tweaks are included, but don't make any real difference to the gameplay and flow of the level. Teams are enabled, meaning if you join Blue Team then you will be fighting against the marines, with the Covenant on your side.

Ducktape has kindly provdided a demo clip to show you a short amount of gameplay.

Note: As Halo's netcode will not sync AI, you should create a LAN game to play this map.

As usual, install by moving your default 
map into a separate folder, then copy the 
modded map into your /Maps folder. 

Remember to move the original back when you 
want to play on a network server.  
Otherwise, it won't work. 

Suggestion: create a custom gametype and 
make sure you enable hogs and ghosts in 
the vehicle mix.  Also, set 

- 'Infinite Grenades' to 'Yes' 
- 'Respawn Time' to 'Instant'
- 'Suicide Penalty' to 'None'  
- 'Weapon Set' to 'Normal'
- 'Starting Equip' to 'Custom'

The remaining parameters are up to you. 

The AI are perceptive and aggressive, and 
some of the weapons have been modded, both 
credited to çrªzy Fçker.  You will have 
your work cut out for you...

Teams are enabled, so you can go blue and 
play alongside the Covenant for a change.  
Kind of amusing to watch. 

Also, the AI will continue to respawn, so 
you can play for hours if you want. 

Not tested for multiplayer (but it should 
work). 

Originally conceived by Ducktape and dubbed 
"Nyctohylophobia" (fear of dark wooded areas, 
and of forests at night). 

For Halo PC only.
