File Description

From the readme,

I always though that the old blood was really bad. For the marines and SPARTANs, it always looked like you stomped on a cherry. So what I've done here is made better looking blood. I've included all the races, except one. I can't figure out what the hell an "Engineer" is. Doesn't matter, because this may not be the final version. Without futher ado, onto the instructions!

Wow, words can't describe how much of an improvement these are over the stock textures. I've always found the blood decals in Halo to be quite unrealistic and this mod really fixes that up. A definite keepers for me.

These are exactly what you guessed they are, better Blood Textures. A suitable colour too; none of that cherry crap.

*Before beggining, you may need to extract any files you downloaded*

Skills, Applications, Items and Utilities you will need before starting:

-A Brain
-Basic Skin Knowledge
-HMT
-My Skin
-The ability to read on

*If you are incapable of this, don't continue.*

This skin is 5 different bitmaps, so I'll divide it into 4 different instructions. For starters, you're going to need to open any map. Any map works because the skin is applied to everything. Using HMT, Delve into C:\Program Files\Microsoft Games\Halo\MAPS and open up any map there. Now move onto the injecting.

Human Blood:

Keep scrolling down until you find "effects\decals\blood splats\bitmaps\blood splat". Click on the "Inject Skin" button. Now go where ever you extracted all the files and open the folder up. When your in that find the "Skins" folder. In there double click/open "blood splat1.dds.1". There, it's in. Now time to move on.

Elite Blood:

Keep scrolling down until you find "effects\decals\blood splats\bitmaps\blood splat elite". It should be under "Blood Splat". Click on the "Inject Skin" button. Now go where ever you extracted all the files and open the folder up. When your in that find the "Skins" folder. In there double click/open "blood splat elite1.dds.1". There, it's in. Now time to move on again.

Grunt Blood:

Keep scrolling down until you find "effects\decals\blood splats\bitmaps\blood splat grunt". It should be under "Blood Splat Engineer". Click on the "Inject Skin" button. Now go where ever you extracted all the files and open the folder up. When your in that find the "Skins" folder. In there double click/open "blood splat grunt1.dds.1". There, it's in. Now time to move on to the final step.

Hunter Blood:

Keep scrolling down until you find "effects\decals\blood splats\bitmaps\blood splat hunter". It should be under "Blood Splat Engineer". Click on the "Inject Skin" button. Now go where ever you extracted all the files and open the folder up. When your in that find the "Skins" folder. In there double click/open "blood splat grunt1.dds.1". There, it's in. But you're not done yet. Bellow it is another one; "effects\decals\blood splats\bitmaps\blood splat hunter glow". Repeat the process, but find "blood splat hunter glow1.dds.1" in the "Skins" folder. Inject that and now you're done! Enjoy!

If none of the skins were there, you obviously did something wrong. If they were not there, consider revising what you did or trying again. If that does not work, try reinstalling Halo. If this does not work, it could be issues with your computer. I know that it works with Plug-ins like Bitterbanana's Yelo Battery; but if it's not working, try taking out any plug-ins or mods you previously installed. If issues continue, it's not my problem, and please don't annoy me for help; because I cannot help you.

Note, I take no responsibilities for your stupidity or any issues that occur, so don't flame me if you once working copy of Halo is now not working; because it was not likely to do with my skin, and your stupidity is your own stupidity.

Also, I would like to know what everyone thinks about the new readme, and if it was more helpful. All question can be directed to me via eMail or Xfire.
