From the readme,
I took some of those Forerunner symbols and rendered them. I placed them on the banshee. Then, I made the banshee a old looking colour. After that, I scratched it up, making it look even older. *Note, you might have to extract the file before beggining the procces.
Personally, I do not like this skin. I think the Forerunner symbols contrast to much with the new beige colour of the Banshee. The Banshee no longer seems to fit in with the enviroment, especially in snowy enviroments (I played AotCR and it looked very out of place) and it has an odd purple shine over it (possibly the reflection mask).
I do however like the contrast between the crowded and dark interior of the Banshee (unmodded) and the mostly featureless exterior. I think this mod comes down to personal taste/preference.
This is in my opinion, my best skin. The first thing I thought when I looked at it ingame was, "Wow". I call it, the "Relic Banshee". I took some of those Forerunner symbols and rendered them. I placed them on the banshee. Then, I made the banshee a old looking colour. After that, I scratched it up, making it look even older. *Note, you might have to extract the file before beggining the procces. Skills, Applications, Items and Utilities you will need before starting: -A Brain -Basic Skin Knowledge -HMT -My Skin -The ability to read on *If you are incapable of this, don't continue. If you don't have a brain, Goodbye, because you will likely die soon.* Injecting: Open up HMT delve into C:\Program Files\Microsoft Games\Halo\MAPS or wherever you saved it and open any map. Any map works because skins apply to everything. Open up the "Bitmaps" tab. Scroll down until you come accross, "vehicles\banshee\bitmaps\banshee". Find and click on the "Inject Skin" button to the right. No find where you extracted the files you downloaded, and open up the folder. Now find the "Skins" folder in there. In there, there should be a file named, "banshee1.dds.1". Double click/open that. That should have injected the file, and you're done! If the skin was not there, you obviously did something wrong. If they were not there, consider revising what you did or trying again. If that does not work, try reinstalling Halo. If this does not work, it could be issues with your computer. I know that it works with Plug-ins like Bitterbanana's Yelo Battery; but if it's not working, try taking out any plug-ins or mods you previously installed. If issues continue, it's not my problem, and please don't annoy me for help; because I cannot help you. Note, I take no responsibilities for your stupidity or any issues that occur, so don't flame me if you once working copy of Halo is now not working; because it was not likely to do with my skin, and your stupidity is your own stupidity. Enjoy! Also note that all questions can be directed to me via eMail or Xfire. Me eMail is firstname.lastname@example.org. My Xfire username is jackle123. Enjoy, Jackle
