The second in the series of 3 maps recently released by Arteen, Tempo is based around a covenant theme. It is set in a 4 circle system onboard what looks like a covenant ship with teleporters linking some of the different areas. There are also remnants of the covenant still around; ghosts, a wraith and a few drop ships (none of which are drivable). The map is heavily based on the theme of the covenant cruisers and features the stock weapon set, with a new biped skin. The level’s textures themselves are pretty standard, though the shine of the covenant bodywork does make it a pretty place for battles. This map is medium size with plenty of scope for fighting in all 3 dimensions. There are many levels players can occupy and consequently firefights can ensue anywhere and everywhere. The wide sweeping corridors make spray and pray a bad choice on this map and staying alert to all directions is necessary. The map looks good for larger games, 8 being the ideal number in my opinion, however games of 16 would be easy to carry out. The map’s weapon placements are good with no team having a distinct advantage in terms of available weapons. I always like these kinds of maps as I enjoy the stock Halo weapons in a variety of themed areas, and this map is certainly a keeper. I hope you view it in the same way and download away.
Name: Tempo Author: Arteen Only echoes remain to greet you in this abandoned Covenant depot. This is a small, simple, symmetric map with a covie theme. The flag rooms are on the third floor on each side, reachable either through ramps along the sides of the map, or through a set of teleporters at either end of the map. Covenant debris litters the stage. It is designed for all gametypes. This map was going to be a CMT map, but no such luck. I'm releasing it now so that it gets released at all, since the CMT version has been cancelled. It's fully playable, but not fully polished.
