I cut Light Scythe out because I predicted it'd probably result in a landslide vote ⌐_⌐

Yes....fear it and fear it well.

 #12 - #1 (to Averus, and I picked Trident.) - Posted by: Chris91 (Member) on 02-22-2009 at 12:36
I agree with you, Averus. Just ask yourself: How many people here who've seen Star Wars ever saw anything related to Mobile Suit Gundam? My vote for the trident is similarly inspired... ...What comes to mind when I imagine it is basically a drastically-downsized version of the twin beam trident seen in the Gundam Wing anime that spun off from Mobile Suit Gundam, and the franchise has a few more types of beam weaponry. I think one of the mechs from Mobile Suit Gundam beat Darth Maul and even Exar Kun to using twin beam/lightsabers by over a decade, in the real world. Anyway, I'd imagine a light-trident (or a twin light-trident) would work similarly to an electrostaff, but with wide/short lightsaber blades at the tips (or one tip, if not a twin-bladed version), yet more susceptible to a lightsaber destroying it by striking the staff. But less of a chance of cutting yourself up when slicing up battledroids or anything else. Just don't expect to cut thick doors with it.

you forgot saber gloves. Put them on and channel force energy to cover them in saber energy. Great for martial artists.

How about a lightsaber herring? We can cut down trees with it & sing the lumberjack song whilst going "Ni!" at shrubbery salesmen. DISCLAIMER: This message may or may not make any sense whatsoever depending on if you're a Monty Python addict like me :p

 #20 - Light Flail - Posted by: SkinnedDogThing32 (Member) on 02-24-2009 at 11:27

What about the light whip?

 #25 - Re: #24 - Posted by: Averus_Retruthan (Staff) on 02-26-2009 at 20:01
Light whips were already invented. I'm essentially choosing weapons that don't appear in the SW series.

personally, I would've liked a 8-pointed lightshuriken, or a circular lightsaw even better, (working on creating both)
