i use it only for the music.
A minimizer and winamp(or some other media player.) That's all you need -_-
Just get a minimizer and a good music program, KT's / UUs just spam server logs X_o lol
"They're a good multi-utility, for sure."
Easy to set up profiles, get music and playlists, easy server reminder's
Ultra Utiliry ftw! lol
But mine never works any more, idk why.
Yup. Mainly for music and auto replies in duels
Seriously, it's not a bad concept. Killtrackers would be great for people who care about kill counts.
One problem: They tell you nothing, they track bot kills too. You could boot up a solo server and kill initiates all day and get a massive kill count... People use it to "show off 'their' prowess", but they could be just killing bots or newbies.
If there was a way to record the skill of the opponent that was killed then it would be an excellent tool, until then it doesn't really interest me.
I like to show off my awesome KT stats when people show off with theirs, since mine are better than anyones, lol.
I don't care about them as long as people have 'em silenced or off.
I only use mine for the music, because it's a heck of a lot easier to use than Windows Media Player. Besides, I can't be bothered to download another minimizer and Media Player when Jamtracker is perfectly good.
Some people use it to show their prowess. I use it to show how badly I suck
At the last count it was around 900 deaths to every kill.
I saw one guy using one with 13,000 kills or somewhere like that about a year ago... honestly, if you have that many kills, then you really need to go do something else... And yeah, seriously innacurate. Still, though, a nice thing to think about if it could work out a few minor problems.
Kill trackers constantly send usless info to all players on servers adding to lagg and clogging up the system in general, then there are other kill trackers , that give players an unfair advantage over normal players..........................
Also distributes personal player info to all players using it....
Some times RPG servers have "special saber classes extra damage " for them selves .
Or Other servers have "Admin anti lamer Sabers" with raised damages" to be used as they see fit in certain events, or circumstances,
Or they might be just experimenting making sabers in their clan.
It is no longer safe to keep such a saber in a server any more as these Ktill trackers invade the privacy of a server and can read the servers "special Sabers" all the kill tracker user need do is type in the saber name into the console and bingo they have the extra damage admin saber in their hands.
" Utility Cheat Facility " with the Player homing and tracking,,,,features .......need i say more....
All server owners would be wise to ,Please add to server, cfg the following lines,
Wont stop all of it but at least stops some.:(
sets uu_restrict 31 // stops Certain utility hacks And cheats.
"sets uu_restrict 31 // stops Certain utility hacks And cheats."
Not seta?
Anyway (being a server owner), stops certain utility hacks and cheats like which ones? You got me interested now ;)
Oh and on-topic with the poll...
"I hate them with a burning passion and I wish they were never conceived!"
'nuff said.
Actually to be Fair The Author does provide server owners with the following Bitrates to disable it Partly add them to disable features.
Hide origins of specific models 1
Hide entity info of specific players 2
Disable the navigation system 4
Disable wallhax-like rendering options 8
8 Force silent mode 16
Maybee in FFA the mod is acceptable but in any other game type ,
eg CTF ,Siege, MovieBattles, or Lugormod its not a good idea.
The Mod i am Reffering to is a brilliant piece of work and very well put together,
and ive seen other map mods of the author .. he is most certainly a brilliant modder, and im sure when he conceived this mod he did not intend people to use it as a cheat....................
but im just not fond of what this Utility enables players to do.
:):)
Yes Sets must be used not seta...

UU is probably the best one out there. I use it. Very well made and enjoyable
Yeah, UU tracks your bot and human kills seperately, although admittedly I only use it for music and custom menus.
UU, but only for music and minimizer
You can use a minimizer and winamp, wmp, real, etc... but you're using way more memory that way.
Idk bout u... but open Task Manager, and check how much memory a mini/winamp setup consumes compared to just running UU... Simply put, UU uses less memory.
Furthermore, I like the chatstyles. Adding colors and special effects to my words is pretty cool, to me... I dont ever use auto-message though.
I dont care to show my kill record though... I mean, who cares, you know? Ill show it if they ask, or if everyone's showing off records... i mean my record has been called "awesome"... but i dont care.
But I like to show off what music I'm listening to... it usually gets a response, and sometimes I might have a song that another person couldn't find for download... So showing off your music isn't bad since it helps p2p and networking.
example
"now playing linkin park - numb"
"wow i've been lookin everywhere for that song! where did u download it?"
"i downloaded it at so-and-so"
etc.
So yeah, i like UU. I dont care about the "kill tracker" feature specifically, but the multi-use is realy handy. Again for me it's:
1. Chatstyles
2. Lower memory-cost music player.
3. Information networking aid.
"They're a good multi-utility, for sure." +1
What the heck is a killtracker?
Have used on on and off, like JAM tracker...
Not realy in to the broardcasting how many bots I've killed thing I mostly like the auto messages etc. Can be good if you want to listen to music too.
What happened to the cake we were promised.
Music only, well in game, i got itunes to u not in it...
i keep my completely silent to, so i dont spam
