From the Author:
Designed for "epic saber battles", this map is an abandoned, but still functioning, Imperial Bunker on the surface of Yavin. It comes with "Imperial March" Music and Bot Support. There are 2 main arenas. The first is inside the bunker itself (this is where you spawn). The second is high on top of the bunker at the landing pad. You can use force jump to get up there or you can use the elevator. Other optional battle areas include the surrounding grasslands and the temple pillars.
The readme goes on more (with some jokes :D) so read on if you like. The author has already given quite a good description, so all I will say is this : WOW! Lovely terrain, you can actually jump up in the trees and hide on the branches, or you could jump all the way up on the high walls, there is a lot of stuff to do and makes this map amazing! A definite download!!!
*************************** JEDI KNIGHT II MODIFICATION *************************** Title : Bunker ZERO Author : Vance "Proxy" Tran E-Mail : email@example.com / firstname.lastname@example.org Website : n/a File Name : duel_bunker-zero.zip File Size : 1.09 MB Date Released : 5-24-2002 Description : Designed for "epic saber battles", this map is an abandoned, but still functioning, Imperial Bunker on the surface of Yavin. This bunker is located in the middle of some deteriorating temple ruins, rolling hills, and grassy terrain. Trees and chunks of stone are scattered on the terrain. There are also plenty of hiding spots among the trees and plants. I've added some funnier elements on this map too: a break room (with tables, wine, chairs, a fan, and a refridgerator) and a bathroom (complete with toilets and urinals!). I can only imagine the funny things people will use these areas for during a duel (umm,... time out, gotta go pee! *turns off the saber, runs into the bathroom* ... *tinkle* "ahh, that's the stuff!") So, have fun, and oh yeah, *DEATH* TO THE EMPIRE! *hint...* Additional Information :This map is compatible with Duel, FFA, and Team FFA and has optional guns. However, this map is meant to be played Duel mode with Force/No Force and Saber Only. Map uses the Imperial March music from JK2 and includes Bot support. Map includes lots of breakable entities so you can show off your badass-ness during a duel. Most areas are accessible with LvL 1 jump, others require LvL 2 and up jump. Oh, and watch out for the "poison spears"... muhahahahaaaaa... Thanks to: Frank "CoolMoeD" Harmon for the "Additional Info" format ;), Raven, and Mr. Lucas * Play Information * New Sounds : NO New Skins : NO New Objects : NO New Textures: Only a few... Two of the "new" textures are actually the merges/edits of the original textures. * Construction * Brush Count : 1255 Entity Count : 101 Base info : Funny thing - this map is based off of old geometry (geometry by Me, Vance Tran) from a Quake 3 Arena "Castle" map that I never finished. Software used : JK2Radiant and GtkRadiant-1.2.8-jk2, PakScape, Adobe Photoshop 6 Known Bugs : None that I know of. Build Time : Two weeks, off and on. * How to install the Bunker ZERO map * Just put the duel_bunker-zero.pk3 in GameData\base in your game directory, and it is selectable among the usual Multiplayer maps. *Shameless Self Promotion* Try my other map, Bespin Void 1.1, if you haven't already. http://www.jediknightii.net/files/index.php?link=file&id=234 * Copyright / Permissions * THIS MODIFICATION IS NOT MADE, DISTRIBUTED, OR SUPPORTED BY ACTIVISION, RAVEN, OR LUCASARTS ENTERTAINMENT COMPANY LLC.
