From the Author:
This is a medium sized duel map based on the Imperial Landing Platform on Endor where Luke Skywalker turned himself in. Only the top of the platform is meant for game play. The lower section is there for looks/detial. If you try hard enough you can end up on the lower area but theres no way to get back to the top. Yes, I could have player cliped it but I wanted spectators to be able to pass through it.
That basically describes the map well :D The black skybox does remove a bit of environment from the map, but the map is still nice. The top level also has crates scattered around for you to duck behind or hide.

Game type : Duel Bot Support : yes New Sounds : yes -- new background music New Graphics : yes -- a few minor texture/shader additions * Comments * Only the top of the platform is meant for game play. The lower section is there for looks/detial. If you try hard enough you can end up on the lower area but theres no way to get back to the top. Yes, I could have player cliped it but I wanted spectators to be able to pass through it. Because I'm not a texture artist the top of the platform uses a texture that was part of the game's texture set, thus it doesn't look like it did in the movie. I also streched the texture more then I probably should have which resulted in a lower quality texture in game. I was having a custom skybox done, but it fell through, so the map's skybox files where replaced with black images resulting in a black backdrop. It loses some of the feel without a skybox but is still very playable. If you look hard enough there are a few minor flickering textures due to brush overlaps, but it doesn't hurt game play in anyway. * Additional Credits * The texture for the beams of light that come off of some of the lights in the map was done by Yves Allaire aka evil lair - Email: [email protected] - URL: http://planetquake.com/hfx * Copyright / Permissions * This package may only be distributed by means of electronic transfer, and may not be modified in any way.
