File Description

It must have been cold a long time ago in a galaxy far, far away. This Luke reskin from Michael Binder is simple, yet interesting. Michael has taken Luke, removed his classic black clothing and replaced it with what appear to be long johns, giving the impression of a skirt-wearing Jedi, ready to head out into the cold night to take on some Sith. If this was not the intended concept, I offer my most sincere apologies. But, it does seem that way.

In addition to the default skin, Mr. Binder has also included two very nicely-done team skins. The red skin is basically the default turned red, but it would seem some more detail has been added. The cuffs of the arms have small patterns on them and the legs actually look like pant legs, rather than some sort of cotton material. The blue skin isn’t blue. It’s green. I’m not a huge fan of green, but to each his own, right? Anyway, this version, like the red, contains more detail than the default while still maintaining a resemblance to the original.

The only real downsides to this skin are the lack of any new sounds, the lack of bot support and the face. The face is pretty bad. It looks like Luke, but it looks like Luke took a trip to the Caribbean for a week and didn’t leave the beach the entire time. Needless to say, it’s not very impressive. Another thing to mention would be the non-functioning demo included in the file. It shows Jedi3 duking it out with Vader. I saw Jedi3 duking it out with Kyle, then it crashed in the middle of it. There is no real problem with it, as far as the game goes. The skin will still work either way.

While I like to have a lot of skins, I don’t really see this one staying in my base folder past the time I publish this review. I do hope the skinner continues to skin, because I do see some potential here. Keep up the good work! :D
