NO CLIENT FILES ARE NEEDED! More information can be found at http://dev.wdonline.com File: jk2pp_beta3.zip Size: 254kb ============= Installation ============= There are several ways to install JK2++. 1. (recommended) Create a sub-directory called jk2pp in your gamedata directory. Place the jk2pp.pk3 file into the sub-directory of jk2pp. This installation will require those with auto-download enabled to download the jk2pp.pk3 file. Be sure to add +set fs_game jk2pp to the executable. 2. (also recommended) Create a sub-directory called jk2pp in your gamedata directory. Create another sub-directory called vm in the jk2pp directory. Rename the jk2pp.pk3 file to jk2pp.zip. Open jk2pp.zip in your desired zip program. Drag the jk2mpgame.qvm file into the newly created vm sub-directory. This installation should not require any download for the client. Be sure to add +set fs_game jk2pp to the executable. 3. (recommended for some) Place the jk2pp.pk3 file into your base directory. This method will require a download for those that have auto-download enabled. No addition to the executable is needed. Running Jedi Knight II will default to JK2++. I have included both a Linux and Windows script for example purposes (for installation methods 1 & 2). To use these scripts, you will need to change the IP address and any other variable you prefer. ================== Changes in Beta 3: ================== ***Force Powers*** Drain -Mana cost cut back to Beta 1 (30%). It was just too weak. Duration force powers -Now can immediately shut off. No 1.5 second wait time. ***Weapons*** Destructive Electro-Magnetic Pulse 2 Gun (DEMP) -Primary damage increased from 35 to 50. -Secondary base damage increased from 8 to 12 (with varying degrees of damage according to the charge time). Disruptor -Time between firing brought up to 2 seconds. Rocket Launcher -RL pick-up gives 5 rockets. -Ammo packs have 5 rockets. Misc. Weapons -You can now pick up any weapon, regardless if you're carrying it, and use it for ammo. ***Admin Features*** Renaming -Rename any player. Takes a client number (not a name yet) and new name for arguments. syntax: rename <clientnumber> <newname> ren <clientnumber> <newname> Slapping -Slaps the player. Pushes them back and takes damage. Takes a client number (not a name yet) as arguments. syntax slap <clientnumber> ***Variables*** No new variables, but GSD (Goul, Saber trace, Dismemberment) turned on (or off) to the following settings: seta g_saberghoul2collision 1 seta g_sabertracesaberfirst 0 seta g_dismember 300 ================== Changes in Beta 2 ================== ***Neutral Force Powers*** Speed -Mana cost brought down from 50 to 20 -Increase in speed by 10% -Lasts for 10, 20, or 30 seconds dependant upon force level Sight -Lasts for 10, 15, or 25 seconds dependant upon force level Jump -Mana cost cut by 50% -Is now slightly faster ***Dark Force Powers*** Grip -Distance changed from 256 to 315 Drain -Mana cost cut by 10% ***Light Force Powers*** Heal -Mana cost brought down from 50 to 40 -Increase heal amount to 40 ***Weapons*** Saber Light Stance -Increase base damage to 50. Damage range from 2 - 50. Saber Medium Stance -Increase base damage to 75. Damage range from 2 - 85. Saber Heavy Stance -Increase base damage to 123. Damage range from 2 - 180. Disrupter -Primary Fire --Increase damage to 70. --Ammo consumption increased to 20. --Firing time increased to 1 second. -Secondary Fire --Increase damage to 120. --Ammo consumption increased to 42.5 at max charge.
