Mithran brings us his version of a Yavin Training area. Now for a first mapper I think he did a pretty good job, besides some texture bugs and what not, other than that, it is pretty good. He had some problems with the skybox as stated in his readme, it's just a blank sky with a sun... Good choice of a sky, but he should have used the sky from the Yavin Maps in the original game. Well Anyways, the maps starts out as a big outside area with some floating platforms, a waterfall, and some ledges. For the Waterfall, I think he could have used the waterfall water texture for, well, the waterfall.
But he does admit his mistakes in his readme as right here:
The only thing that bugs me is the roof/sky, I've no idea how to make a skybox so it's shoot able and looks quite bad when shot :
But then there is another secret room, that the only way to get to it is by getting the force enlightments on the way, and the door brings us to a small room, with health packs and weapons, and he also put a small pyramid shielding some more pickups!
Overall a good attempt.. I'd like to see more maps of your skill Mithran! Good job!

A large outdoor (attempt) There are a few floating platforms leading to a smallish duel area. Jumping from the wall platforms is a second way to the duel area and is the only way to get to the platform with Dark and Light force enlightenment. Going through the door takes you into a small area with health pickups, shields and two weapons. The small pyramid type thing houses the disruptor and a few more pickups. Background of this map: A small FFA map which I've spent a few days working on, nothing overly amazing. For a first attempt at map making I am content with it. I was having problems getting a few things working but most of them are solved. The only thing that bugs me is the roof/sky, I've no idea how to make a skybox so it's shootable and looks quite bad when shot :( Someone was telling me that there might be a problem with a few blocks that you can walk though. I've not seen them myself though dispite testing this map. So if anyone else get's this problem I'll remake the map. If people do like it, I might make and submit more maps.
