A battle droid. What more do you need to know?
:) This is a version 0.9 release of my multiplayer battle droid. It's only got the one default skin. Only one sound is replaced. No LOD's yet, as you'll appreciate if you've ever had to weight a mesh :) As you can see, this isn't really a complete model. It works, but it's not version 1.0 yet :)
This is a very good model of the battle droid. :D , kept runnin round saying Roger Roger! afterwards lol... work
***************************JEDI KNIGHT II MODIFICATION*************************** Title : Roger v.09 (Battle Droid) Author : MacD aka Maarten Edgar E-Mail : email@example.com File Name : roger.zip File Size : 1.347 kb model size : Total Verts: 3169 Total Tris : 2914 Unique Bone Refs: 48 Default rendered Verts: 2940 Default rendered Tris: 2815 Default rendered Bone Refs: 48 Deleted duplicate verts: 26 Date Released : 25-7-02 Description : A battle droid. It works, but it's not version 1.0 yet :) Comments : To install, unzip roger.pk3 to your Gamdatabase directory. There is one niggle with this model; the shoulders aren't attached to the torso. Thing is, they look real silly when they are attached, due to the rigid nature of a droid, and only sometimes look bad the way they are. Let me know if you do want them attached or not, but I personaly think they look better the way they are. Expect to find more sounds (when I find a working wav2mp3 convertor) and more skins (or at least a redo of the current one) in the next release. And maybe even a LOD or two :) Credits : Made the mesh myself, as well as the textures. As you can see, I'm not really a texture man myself, so feel free to improve on it. Mad props go out to Leo Kraan for supplying some of the sounds! Also a big shout out to the jk2 modeling community, without whose help this model would never have made it into the game. Silent Mobius, Anavel Gato, Sniper Wolf (for asking all those questions I read the answers to :) ) and others: thanks! Request: You are allowed to use this model freely, but I do ask that you let me know if you use it for a project. I'd like to know what my battle droid is doing :) Oh, and if you do use it, always give me credit :) THIS MODIFICATION IS NOT MADE, DISTRIBUTED, OR SUPPORTED BY ACTIVISION, RAVEN, OR LUCASARTS ENTERTAINMENT COMPANY LLC.
