I have to say that I'm surprised to see a new Multiplayer mod released for JK2. This is very much like the original Vulcanus mod and other admin mods that came after it, like the JA mod. I'm not sure how buggy this mod is, but it is the first version. So it will be interesting to see if this might be more stable than what is available to us.

SilMod is a very user-friendly mod. The commands are the same as those used in the widely popular admin mods (amcommands) and it has a few very interesting new features. For instance, there's a feature where you can have members of your clan login, which prevents any impersonators who show up wearing your tag. The SilTracker is like those blasted Kill Trackers that I can't stand, but this tracks all players deaths, kills, duels and it maintains a ranking system. Which is kinda cool, as long as it doesn't announce kills and stuff all the time.

There are many emotes, I'm fairly sure we've seen them all before though. Good job, -{DEA}-Silence. This might be a mod I'd be interested in - especially if it doesn't have the same weaknesses that JA mod 1.6 still seems to have.

Description
--------------------
SilMod is your basic Vulcanus/Academy inspired server-side 
admin mod for JK2.  It was created to address some of the 
specific needs of the -{DEA}- clan.  It is, and will be 
for quite some time, an ongoing project, so be prepared to 
see some changes in the way things work from time to time.


Major Features
--------------------
Admin commands:  All the old favorite commands for server 
control.  Please see SilModManual.htm for a full list.

Clan Protection:  Protects against clan "impostors" by
requiring all players with clan "tag" in their name to
/clanlogin using the correct clan password.

SilTracker:  Server automatically keeps track of all
players (by name) and their kills, deaths, and duels. The
server will also maintain a rank ladder for all stored
players, and display those ranks at certain times.  Please
see SilModManual.htm for more details.


Installation
--------------------
Extract "SilMod Version 1.0.zip" to your gamedata/ directory.  If 
you run a dedicated server, I have included a "batch"
file that will start a dedicated server running SilMod
by simply double-clicking on the file called 
"Silmod Dedicated server startup".  If you run an in-game
server (though I don't recommend it) you should be able
to choose "SilMod" from the "Mods" tab of the start-up
options menu.

Be sure to look over and modify "silmod.cfg" in the 
gamedata\silmod directory before you start your server 
so that you can set up your passwords and other settings.
