File Description

Lee-Xai brings us a two-fold mod. It includes a reskin of the Darth Maul lightsaber hilt (a WONDERFUL two-tone gold/silver plated appearance), and also a nice dark purple glow to go along with it (read the backstory below). The interesting part is the glow has a design running through the middle, and the saber trail has been altered giving it a very smooth appearance.

Once again, the only problem I have with this is 1.) the glows were not kept separate from the hilt, and 2.) there is no mod support. Other than that, chalk up another good file that can only get better.

Mod Support: No New Textures: Yes New Sounds: No

Title : Supersaber v. 4.50
Author : Lee-Xai
E-Mail : Lee-Xai@onlinehome.de

File Name : Supersaberv450.zip (Containing Supersaberv450.pk3 and readme.txt)
File Size (Saber)	: 1.10 MB
File Size (.zip) : 1.10 MB
Date Created : 21st july 2003

Description : This is a lightsaber with an overworked core and a wider and cooler glow than those glows from Raven. The hilt has the picture of a black hole and the trail is clear-purple and not white. Why ? Because it looks cooler this way. I also replaced the blue core and the blue glow with purple. Well, that's it, folks.
Hope you enjoy this little mod.

How to install : Copy the supersabervxxx.pk3 into the GameData\base folder of ur Jedi Outcast directory.
To play with the normal saber again, just delete the file.

Programes Used : Paint, IrfanView 3.75, MGI PhotoSuite III SE, Paint Shop Pro 6.02, MD3 View, Adobe Photoshop,
                          Winzip 8.1

Additional thanks to : Wanderer, for helping me a bit with the Supersaber. I used his core from his SOTGV2 as the base model, but i went over it, so it looks a bit different.

Vent Gala, for making the hilt. I went over the texture.

Some more words : This is version 4.50 of my Supersaber. What has changed ?

                          4.50
-The saber has Darth Maul's hilt now.
(Why Maul's hilt ? Well, do you know Jedimod ? You can play with an double-ended saber, but without the right hilt it doesn't look good. So i decided to add Maul's hilt.)
                          -And a new core...
                          -...and a better HUD...
                          -...and a new trail !

                          4.00
-I fixed the trail, so you can't see the steps.

                          3.50
-I went over the trail. It has now a transparent gradient.

                          3.00
-The saber has a complete new core...
                          -...and a new trail.

                          2.50:
-Now ALL glows are wider. Not only purple and blue; red, green, orange and yellow, too.

                          2.00:
-The saber comes now with HUD display.

                          1.50:
-The trail is now perfect matched with the core.
-I went over the hilt texture, so it hasn't any mistakes now.
