Well, we tend to get a lot of fictional characters around here, in skins or models. However, very rarely do we get one who could actually fit into the canon Star Wars universe timeline. Commander Trint actually could fit into things without disrupting the pre-existing storyline.
Onto the skin. The model used is from the ClonesUltima model pack, and to be honest, I'm not sure where it differs, so I'll judge the skin on it's own merits.
It's a basic clonetrooper, except there are various red designs over his armor, and the helmet seems to have been reskinned to some extent, although without any comparison shots I wouldn't know as the faces of models are usually hidden ingame. There's also a logo on the chest which I didn't recognise.
To me, the colors seemed a bit off-kilter, and not very realistic. There are no shaders - just the default ClonesUltima shaders, and none seem to have been tweaked to work with the new skin filepaths. Another thing I noticed is that the skin textures were in TGA format, unnecessarily boosting the filesize. The author would have gotten the same quality from JPGs, and TGAs are normally only used for specialised tasks such as alpha layering. The NPC folder is included, but it's empty, so no NPC support.
What is included is bot support, and a full set of very annoying sounds which I assume are from the original model pack.
On the whole, there's nothing to really make this skin stand out from the other clonetroopers knocking about, except maybe the actual character behind it. If you fancy another clonetrooper variant, then here's one for you.

********************************* JEDI KNIGHT: JEDI ACADEMY ********************************* TITLE: Clone Commander Trint AUTHOR: DARTH MUFFIN E-MAIL: KWALEK@AOL.COM DATE RELEASED: Jun, 2 2006 CREDITS: Marz Marshall, and other creators of the CloneUltima pack for the original textures and model. NSTALLATION ISTRUCTIONS: UNZIP THE FILE INTO YOUR gamedata\base DIRECTORY DESCRIPTION: Clone Commander Trint was one of the greatest commanders the clone army has seen. He has fought since the very beginning of the clone wars as nothing but a regular troop. After many oustanding battles a very rare thing happened. Unit KW-1018 has been promoted to Commander and got the nickname Trint. A trait that made him stand out was a double commander mark on his armor, because he also served as an elite clone commando for some time. Commander Trint was one of the few surviving clones and later served under the emperor for a short time before his death. Trint was said to be the only clone warrior who died of old age instead in battle.
