This is a very nice map and would be even better if the overlapping brushes were fixed! Nevertheless it is nice, the author has taken advantage of a few things JA sports, 1) good FPS with global fog, 2) rain, 3) scripted NPC's 4) grass sprites.
Although small, it looks great, the fog with rain adds a sense of a really murky night which is a rare used scene in JA maps (from what I have seen since I got JA). The fallen tree is a great little touch as it shows an area that has been under decay for quite some time. The gravestone area is simple but looks right, a few spread out headstone in no real order sided by a broken down wall and a few large graves.
Venturing down into the nicely mapped crypt you're greeted by 2 very odd pools of water that can only remind me of a sci-fi where you'd expect something to jump out at you from the deep. The bone model on the floor down here is a very nice touch and the lighting is clearly coming from the flames in the corners which adds to the ambience.
As I said before, there are overlapping brushes that at times got to me; they really can let down a map. I also found 1 or 2 texture errors (mainly the pillars in the crypt) and also a visible caulked face at the bottom left of the ramp but this map has none of the "remember and learn this for the future" points that I can find.
This also has been released as an FFA map...I'd call it more a perfect duel map.

Dark Crypt ------------- Mapped by: lukeskywalker1 (Benjamin Shukrallah) Email: firstname.lastname@example.org AIM: lukeskywalker215 File Name: FFA_dark.pk3 Description: This is a map, that was requested by RptheHotrod (#include) Its sort of a graveyard area, sorrounded by mountains, with a burial place in the center of the map, and ghost walks around it, sadly, it can die. This is probably one of the first maps to have a scripted NPC in it, its very basic, because I dont know what icarus commands work in multiplayer. Install: Put the .pk3 file in the base directory, to uninstal, delete it. Credits: RptheHotrod (#include): Sounds and Ideas. EclpisehAlo: Help with various mapping problems. ** Note: I will be releasing this map file (.map) to some other people to include in there map. As long as im credited, its not stolen, and its only for use in there map, unless anyone else asks me first. ** THIS LEVEL IS NOT MADE, DISTRIBUTED, OR SUPPORTED BY LUCASARTS, A DIVISION OF LUCASFILM ENTERTAINMENT COMPANY LTD.
