Many will argue that the duel between Darth Maul, Obi-wan and Qui-gon is the best one of all the duels from the Star Wars films. Personally, I loved it, but I've seen it so often now, I've grown weary of seeing it over and over again. People tried recreating the scene every time we played on the Duel of the Fates map. And so I was a little concerned about this file when I came to it. I thought maybe it was going to be stickmen dueling to that familiar music. Or maybe just another JK movie with people acting it out. I was pleasantly surprised to see a very original animation of the first minute of that scene. It's a bit dark and I wasn't sure the file was actually working at first. I really like the style used - it's very simple, but effective and perfectly synced with the audio from the movie. I can't wait to see the completed version. Watch this. It's great.

This is the first minute of what will end up to be an animatted version of the Darth Maul, Obi-wan and Qui-gon duel in episode 1. Its done in Macromedia Flash MX and should play as a standalone file, even if you do not have the flash player on your computer. Please send me any feedback or ideas for further Star Wars based animations. Simply extract and play......enjoy. ..oh ya, its synced with the actual audio from the film so turn up your speakers.
