You like a good gun FFA? Then I'm SURE you'll love this. This is one of my favorite gun mods ever, its so clever. It replaces all guns but the concussion rifle, all of them unique in a way, the readme explains what each gun does and how it works etc. Quite alot of changes of how the guns work from basejka. They use no ammo, force powers do not really affect gun power now and you can roll with guns too. I love these changes and there's a load more. The guns themselves are awesome, I love the Jukebox of doom, it is the wookiee bowcaster but 10 times uberly better, when it charges if plays music (If you've ever played the map ‘the academy’, it's the music from the cantina) Some guns pack more of a punch than others and the saber is basically crap now. Another thing that makes this mod unique is the death and entrance lines. For example when someone kills me with a saber it'd say 'Rink was noobed' some of them are just hilarious. I found no bugs, that’s great too.

To get the most out of this mod you have to play it with some people, I guarantee you will have a great time if you like a decent shoot out with players, I even had a good time playing with my Bot buddies lol.

MOD DESCRIPTION - 
---------------------------------------------------------------------
*DEAD ON ARRIVAL*

-This mod is server side AND client side.

-This is a multiplayer weapons mod for JKA aimed at FFA and CTF gameplay. 
Included are a homing disintegrator weapon, spreadfire rocket launchers, push weapon, 
knockdown weapon, freeze gun, cloaking weapon, INSTAGIB sniper, grapple hook, and quite 
a bit more. 
Also, new effects, sounds, and weapon models included. Sorry, no new emotes, or added 
abusive admin abilities, or the ability to hold 14 sabers at once are included. There 
are plenty of other mods for that. This is a guns mod.

-Extended client logging and ban list functions. 

-To get the full effect of this mod, I seriously recommend removing ANY weapons 
effects mods and/or weapon model mods you might have in base folder, they tend to 
conflict with the effects and shaders of the weapons here. 

THIS MOD NOT TESTED, NOR INTENDED FOR SEIGE MODE, 
I DO NOT RECOMMEND USING IT IN SEIGE MODE.

INSTALLATION -
For those familiar with installing mods for JKA, simply unzip to GAMEDATA. If you're unfamiliar, read on...


DISCLAIMER -

All contents of zip file must go to a "DOAmod" folder in GAMEDATA folder except DOA_mod_strings.pk3, this file must be 
placed in BASE. 
It contains new weapon icons and in-game text created for this mod, i.e. new weapon names, MODs (means of death), etc. 
The JKA engine insists on loading these files out of BASE when the mod is not launched with the included bat file and 
there is nothing I can do about it.
The contents of this file will not alter normal gameplay, they are specifically created for DOA mod.

INSTALLATION -

1. Make sure your winzip or other unpacker unzips using the FOLDER names to create the correct folder paths.

2. UNZIP all files to "YOUR JKA DIRECTORY HERE/GAMEDATA". DO NOT unzip directly to base!
This should create a "DOAmod" folder in the GAMEDATA diretory, and should place DOA_mod_strings.pk3 in BASE folder.

3. To run mod, double click Play_DOA_mod.bat.

or 

Launch JKA multiplayer, go to setup, then go to mods, load DOA Weapons Mod.

ALTERNATE METHOD - 
If you do not unzip with specified folder paths -

1. Create a folder in GAMEDATA folder called "DOAmod".

2. Place all contents of zip there, and move DOA_mod_strings.pk3 to BASE folder.



WEAPON DESCRIPTIONS - 
---------------------------------------------------------------------

FISTS –
If some fool comes running at you with some oversized glow stick, 
just punch him in the grill and make his blood spill. 
INSTAGIB punch, but only if they have a saber. 

LASER PISTOL – 
Primary and Secondary – Shoot rapid laser bursts.

MINIGUN – 
Primary – Steady, deadly machine gun fire.
Secondary – Slower, and wider machine gun fire.

SNIPER RIFLE – 
Primary – Rifle shots, one to two hit kills.
Secondary – INSTAGIB Sniper mode. You can now fire when moving 
while scoped. Jumping will give you a quick exit out of sniper mode. 
No charge on sniper, however there is now a decreased time between firings.

JUKEBOX OF DOOM – 
Primary – Rapid concussion shots.
Secondary – Full charge shoots a spread of concussion shots and rockets.

LERXST X-1 VIOLATOR –
Primary – Shoot a spread of rapid, wall bouncing laser beams.
Secondary – Rocket launcher. Full charge shoots a spread of 3 rockets.

PUSH WEAPON – 
Primary – Shoot yourself. No… I mean shoot YOURSELF. Use this device to 
propel yourself anywhere in a map almost instantly. 
Secondary – Fire and detonate next to an enemy to send him flying in the 
opposite direction of the detonation. No damage to your opponent, 
only severe annoyance…

ORD D-14 ASSAULT CANNON BETA –
Primary – Charge to lock on to an opponent and shoot a homing burst of 
energy that will disintegrate him in one shot.
Secondary – Fire a devastating thermal detonator.

THE LOVE LETTER – 
Primary – Fires slow moving missile that will instantly kill anyone in 
its direct radius, including you, so use with precaution.
Secondary – Cloaking device. Fire secondary to cloak yourself. 
Fire again to decloak. Pressing the USE key will decloak 
yourself at any time. You cannot be homed by the Ord Cannon while cloaked. 
Getting hit with the push weapon will decloak you.

CONCUSSION RIFLE – 
Primary – Knockdown weapon. Shooting someone when their shields are gone 
will knock him down. A quick jump action will get you up.
Secondary – Freeze weapon. Shooting someone at close range will knock him on 
his face for good. 
Hence, concussion… 

KOTTMEYER ELECTRIC CHARGE – 
Primary and Secondary – Detonate an electric charge from your hand that will 
electrocute anyone within a few feet of your radius. 
The electric charge disables your enemy’s use of a weapon he might have in his 
hand for several seconds. This weapon is also makes you immune to the push weapon.
And it will decloak your enemy. Handy little bugger, eh?

TRICK MINES –
Primary and Secondary – Acts the same as a trip mine, however it is disguised 
as a shield pickup. Finally an answer to those blasted health runners!
Fake him out for good.
These are no longer shootable, so you cannot shoot it to test if a 
shield pickup is a mine or not.

C3PO’S HEAD DET –
Primary – You’ll recognize these as the plain old detpacks. 
But for nostalgic sakes, they have been replaced with C3PO’s head. 
Careful though, don’t be anywhere near the detonation of his head 
or else your dead.
Secondary – Detonates the head.

OFFHAND GRAPPLE HOOK - 
Bind a key in the weapons menu to activate. 
Hold the key to stay grappled to a surface. 



MISCELLANEOUS GAMEPLAY CHANGES – 
---------------------------------------------------------------------
-Unlimited ammo on all guns, except throwable detonators.
-No falling damage.
-G_Speed is now defaulted to 400 for faster gameplay.
-You no longer receive half damage when you inflict yourself with your 
own projectiles and explosives. Watch where you aim!
-Saber no longer repels weapon projectiles back at opponent, 
however it will still deflect projectiles.
-Slowed player speed down when using some of the heavier weapons. 
-Run uber fast with melee/fists, and INSTAPUNCH anyone with a saber.
-You can now roll with weapons and rolling no longer slows you down as much.
-Force push will not repel weapon projectiles.
-Force pull will no longer pull guns.
-Force speed is reduced. Due to the fact that main game speed 
has been upped, this only seems necessary.
-Shield pickup recharging is tripled.
-Force Heal is instant at level 3. Trust me, you need it.
-You can now shoot your opponent if they are gripping you.

SUGGESTED CTF SETTINGS – 
---------------------------------------------------------------------
-Mod_Grapple 0 to disable grapple. Mod_Grapple 1 to restore.
-G_Weapondisable 512 to disable Push Weapon.
-G_Weapondisable 2048 to disable The Love Letter. This is mainly for disabling cloaking.
-To disable both for instance, type G_Weapondisable 2560. (2048 + 512) Add the 
integers of the cvars. Below you will find the integers for all weapons.
