Okay, at first I thought that this was just a plain old saber mod, so I went and tried it in multiplayer. Guess what, I got something really funny. Will I tell you? Never. You have toe download it to find that error. Anyways, to my utter bewilderment, this is meant to work in single player. Scary stuff, huh? Anyways, I testing this out in single player, and it worked just fine! Yay!
Anyways, this mod basically gives you Dual-Phase sabers. What is this? This means you can change the length of your saber blade. Naturally, you can't really do that in JA, so the author has made it so that the saber length changes when you switch saber styles. Anyways, this does just that, but it only lets you use two saber styles: fast and strong. When you use fast style, you get a regualr saber, but when you switch to strong style your blade length doubles. Yep. Watch where you swing that bad boy. Please keep in mind that this does not work for multiplayer. But it does show up in the multipalyer menu. You can make your sabers not usable in multiplayer by putting this in the saber file: "notInMP1".

DESCRIPTION: First off I got the idea from the Jedi Academy book Trilogy and the I, Jedi book. A Dual-Phase lightsaber is a lightsaber that has multiple focusing crystals, that when shifted into a different position, double the length of the lightsaber's blade. These sabers do not replace the originals but are additions. The way they work in the game is the same way a double bladed lightsaber works. Normally The blade is it's normal length, while this length you use the fast saber style but are limited to close range because you can't throw it (I did this for balance because you normally don't get the fast style until later in the game). In order to double the blades length press the change saber style key(I recommend binding a mouse button to it because there are a few tricks you can employ by switching from short to long in the middle or at a timed point at a moments notice[read comment for more info]) While the blade is doubled it is in the strong stance and still cant be thrown (I did this for a few reasons, one I gave it strong style because it is longer thus has more range but to balance that I gave it the slowest of the styles, and to balance the fact it IS the strong style I made its so you still can't throw the saber for the same reason as I did with the short blade). To go back to short blade simply change styles again. BUGS: None I know of. COMMENTS: The best trick I know of works well on Reborn and other lightsaber wielding force users. The trick is simple. Do a rolling stab using the short blade (forward + crouch + fire) but set it up so you will come up short (almost a full NORMAL saber length short ) then in the middle of the roll change styles so the blade lances out crossing the distance that the short blade wouldn't have managed to. Since you are crouched outside of the melee range of the lightsaber wielding NPC more often then not they won't block it until it has already hit them.
