From time to time I wonder if I'm the only one who likes to make non-saber hilts, but sometimes people surprise me. This hilt was certainly a surprise since I've never heard of a kunai before. By name, anyway. Thanks to Wikipedia I can know almost anything, though! It really is quite a wealth of knowledge...
So kunais seem to basically be Japanese throwing knives, although they are shaped more like giant arrowheads, with a large ring on the end. They have been featured in Sonic the Hedgehog, Mortal Kombat, several anime series (including Naruto), Soul Caliber III, and Kingdom Hearts: Chain of Memories. So perhaps some of us really do know what a kunai is. Anyway, now that I've gone off topic, the model itself seems quite accurate to the desired look. It has the iron look, as well as the wrapped handle. The skin isn't great, though, and could definitely use some work. My wikipedia searches tell me that these kunai are supposed to look kind of dull and unpolished, so I'm very happy the author didn't use a bright shiny chrome shader. Yes, there is such a thing as too shiny.
Overall a good attempt - needs some work in certain areas, but practice makes perfect and I hope to see some more practicing from this author. There was one technical thing I wanted to mention, for the author's benefit. When using the sword trail in your .sab file, you need to watch out that you get your actual blade length right, or close to right. At the moment when you swing the blade is too long, so the trail extends a good several inches out past the edge of the blade. If you're lazy, just remove the trail completely (set trail style to 2, I believe... but don't trust me on that because I just had quite a trail debacle a few days ago). A few inches isn't going to make a difference in gameplay, but it will make your model look a little silly when you swing!

INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS**: Put in your jedi acadmey/gamedata/base folder, duh. DESCRIPTION**: This Saber is a Kunai, or throwing knife, used by ninja. its design was modeled after those in the series: Naruto. COMMENTS: This saber can be kinda hard to use at first, but once u practice with it it becomes easier to weild. i find it best to dual weild these, and try to land power moves like uppercuts and backslash, and when combined with saberthrow, makes a great long range weapon.
