File Description

I can recognise this map, due to my past exploits in Halo and Halo2. This is a good initial sign. The author has evidently managed to transfer a noticeable amount of design from the original Halo maps, and for that, well done. :D However, the quality is far short of what you would see in the actual Halo map, so let's see how it could be improved.

First and foremost is the lighting. I've probably said this over a trillion times over the years, but I'll say it again. Sourcing, sourcing sourcing. None of the lighting in this map has a source, save the sky lighting. And in fact, I'm not convinced that a sky shader was used, as some of the shadows over the building are so blocky and plain weird looking, I doubt than unless you decreased your lightmapscale a hell of a lot, you'd get that effect with a sky shader. Secondly, are the texturing and style issues. As I previously said, the layout is recognisable, but the quality is significantly lower. This is in general due to the lack of brush and texture detail that has been transferred from the original map. Some of the buildings just look bland, repetitive and boring, which isn't helped by the lighting, especially in the inner areas.

The best part for me was the terrain on the ground levels. It was good to see some undulation, and what was even better was that it undulated in specific areas - it built up around the steps, and lowered around where the vehicles were. Yes, there are swoop vehicles. No tanks or ghosts unfortunately ;) Overall... well it's a split map. On one hand, it's still got the overall feel of the original Halo map, which was awesome. On the other, this version is seriously degraded in quality from the original. Like it or not, that’s up to you. And have a cookie for including bot support! ;)

	MAP DESCRIPTION

This map is based in a multiplayer map of HALO2 called HEADLONG. The original map and my version are very similar, but if you have played in this map in HALO2 you will discover all the differences between both of them.

The map is a zone wiht some unfinished buildings, so they don´t look like very nice, but I think they are cool. Every building is connected whit the other four wiht platforms, so you can go from one building to another whitout step on the ground, that is a great point because in the ground you will be a easy target for all the weapons.


	
	MORE INFORMATION

The music in the map is from HALO2 Trailer, and I also included the song REMEMBRANCE, that is called music/halo/halo_music2.mp3 in the .pk3 file. Both of the songs are composed by Martin O'Donnell

Every texture in the map had been created or modified by me. So all the textures in my map aren´t in the game.

I have also included the four levelshots I have designed for this map.

	DESCRIPCION DEL MAPA

Este mapa esta basado en un mapa multijugador del HALO2 llamado PRECIPITACION. El original y mi mapa son muy similares, pero si has jugado en este mapa en el HALO2 encontraras las diferencias entre ambos rapidamente.

El mapa es una zona con algunos edificios en construccion, por lo que no son demasiado atractivos, pero me parece que molan. Cada edificio esta conectado con los demas por plataformas, por lo que se puede ir de una punta del mapa a la otra sin pisar el suelo, lo que es bastante bueno, ya que en la arena se es un blanco muy facil para las torretas, los lanzamisiles y las motos.


	MAS INFORMACION

La musica del mapa es la musica del trailer de HALO2 de la E3, y ademas he incluido la cancion REMEMBRANCE, llamada music/halo/halo_music2.mp3 en el archivo .pk3. Las dos canciones han sido compuestas por Martin o'Donnell

Cada una de las texturas de este mapa ha sido creada o modificada por mi, por lo que ninguna de las texturas de mi archivo se encuentra en el juego.

Tambien he añadido los tres levelshots que diseñe para el mapa y que no he utilizado
