Here we have 2 very nice looking sabers (screenshots below are what he sent in, renders but show great detail).
The shaders are animated giving it a very nice red (or blue) glowing energy feel. The model itself is quite simple in design but the detail is all in the textures and shaders which are very nicely done.
I can't really say much else about these sabers, they're clean, glow and look really neat...simple as!
15th November 2003 ======== IZaNaGI Saber Model for Jedi Knight: Jedi Academy ======== Created by Robin "IZaNaGI" Molde ======== Build Time: 1 week ======== File Size: 662 kb ======== Programs used: Adobe Photoshop 7.0 Modview NotePad Milkshape3D MD3View PaKscape AWE64 Wave Studio ======== Model Statistics ======== Vertices: 1203 Triangles: 2361 Groups: 8 Materials: 7 Shaders: 6 Skin Textures: Too many but meh, this is my first time?! ======== Comments ======== Thanks for Downloading the IZaNaGI Saber hilt for JK:JA, my first EVER model for either JK:JO or JK:JA. I first started creating a hilt as a test, not realy expecting to be able to finish the job cos i was making a bit of a n00b job modeling it, but after finishing an unreleased Borg saber i started creation of a personal hilt, this one. After many problems with adding to many verts and other model errors i finally got the unskinned version to work correctly and thats when i could use my real talent with skins, textures and shaders, and the blue saber hilt was complete. But there was a problem ... it looked cool with a blue, green and purple blade but didnt look right with the others. So what did i do ... i created the Sith Saber Hilt too :oD so enjoy The model has several shaders to make it look more chrome then the skin did and the central shaft both moves like something is flowing (the force maybe, i dunno?!) through it and glows brightly. I've also added a new saberhum sound for the sith varient and mixed and matched a few saber sounds from inside JK:JA so they have their own unique noises. All in all, i surprised myself with the result and hopefully it will you too! I have also added the izzyblade.md3 for anyone interested in editing my saber BUT plz ask permision from me before doing so!! ======= Known Issues ======= None, its all good :oP ======= Installation ======= Add the izzyblade.pk3 to your jediknight "base" directory usually found in: C:\Program Files\LucasArts\Star Wars Jedi Knight Jedi Academy\GameData\base To uninstall just bung it in ya recycle bin ======= Special Thanks ======= To Nikki for having patiance with me while i proved to myself i could model and for being such a Babe! ======= Legal ======= Lucasarts, Raven and Activision do NOT support the use of the IZaNaGI Hilt Model in any way and neither they, nor i will be held responsable for errors it causes!! I have run extensive tests and i have encountered no problems in using this model!!! Robin Molde 2003 Visit my clan website @ http://www.fettclan.tk firstname.lastname@example.org
