Back in the days of JK2, I used to enjoy using the Maw Model by Madjai. I never got the chance to play JK1, but I have a plan to one day secure and activate a copy =_= solely for this being...and maybe Jerec.
Honestly, looking at this current model, I'm a tad disappointed. This was based off the noghri model, editing to portray Maw before he was dismembered by Qu Rahn...and in reality..it still looks more Noghri than it does Boltrunian, Maw's race. Similar as they seem, there's some subtle differences in facial builds that weren't really taken into account. Now I know you said you had to wing it when adding Maw's legs, but what I would have seriously suggested first was to add a lower half that supported the way too top heavy Noghri. I never saw Maw in full body, but I don't think he had ballerina feet. There were also the noted bugs in the readme, but I doubt those'll bug people too much.
Now, onto the skins. For some reason, I always preferred the team skins on Maw versus what he had for default. The same seems to apply here, because the skin hue on the default seems too...orange. Going off these live action shots, precedent and wookieepedia shots, his skin was more brown than orange. Perhaps there's a more orange hue to it, but honestly, I woulda stuck with browner moar. Also, the front flap on the default stood out way too much. It felt too solid and didn't really look too much like cloth. Moving to the team skins, whilst the red team skin was impressive, the blue team skin felt too close to just being a noghri with an edited outfit. Kind of a downer.
So, overall? It's a pretty good shot, but I think it could have used a little more tweaking and shifting before release. This still feels too noghri to be that behemoth former Shadow. However, if that doesn't bug you, then SHUT UP AND ADD YOUR BANDWIDTH TO THE WAGON =_=

In the beginning of Dark Forces 2: Jedi Knight, the player sees a cutscene with Qu Rahn on board Jerec's ship, Vengeance. As most of you know, Qu Rahn takes Yun's lightsaber and cut off Maw's legs before he is defeated by Jerec. I've attempted to make a model of Maw before he was cut in half, with a few changes to add more detail to the skin. Bugs: Clipping with flap, I doubt I'll ever get the flap weighing down.
