There's something about this map that reminds me of some of M.C. Escher's art. It has that same quality and being in black and white, it really creates a mood. The music as well lends to the moodiness of the map. The gears and stairs and platforms all work together seamlessly. And there's just something I really like about the thick fog and not being able to see what's just in front of you until it's right under your nose.
The screenshots should speak for themselves. The FPS is decent and while this map does support FFA, it's really only made for dueling. If you're a duelist, you should check out this map. Don't rate it based on the screenshots alone. You need to play this map to really get a feel for it. Great work, Wes. I can't wait to see more from you! :D

*************************** JEDI ACADEMY MODIFICATION *************************** Insatllaton :Extract or copy mechanical_redux.pk3 to your Jedi Academy/game data/base folder. To uninstall simply delete mechanical_redux.pk3. Title :Mechanical Redux Author :Wes Marrakesh E-Mail :firstname.lastname@example.org File Name :mechanical_redux.pk3 File Size :5.07mb Date Completed :February 12, 2004 Description :Backstory: Myst, D'ni, Riven, etc. That wacked out universe where people write books that let you connect to another world. Surreal worlds that could never happen. Worlds with forests of stone, worlds with sailing ships stuck in rock, worlds with trees jutting from water and crisscrossed with huts and bridges. Or maybe, worlds with gears jutting out of sunken islands... the Mechanical Age. It's back, albiet with some artistic license. It's big enough to support small FFAs as well as duels, surreal enough to make you question my sanity, and weird enough to sport masts with skeletons hanging on crossbars. Comments :Contains custom textures and music. All comments please direct to email@example.com, which is both my email and MSN messenger account. Credits :Thanks to Daniel "smeg" Vogt for the skeleton md3, wedge and a few others for this and that, and of course Broderbund, Cyan, and Robyn and Rand Miller for MYST.
