You know what? My very first skin looked a lot like this. Except I recolored something on it somewhere. This doesn't even get to that step. I've seen almost the exact same thing, except the author before transposed the Rodian clothing textures onto the Jedi model. This one has the Rodian clothing textures transposed onto Kyle, seemingly unmodified. Not too exciting, huh? I personally don't see how ripping the outfit off of the Rodian and dressing Kyle up in it makes him a mercenary, but... meh, whatever.

I even have complaints with the backstory on this mod. First, the Exchange doesn't exist in Kyle's time. Black Sun was one of the last organized crime rings, and they ceased to exist long before the events of Jedi Academy. While that's relatvely minor, so is the creativity of this skin. As I've mentioned it's been done several times before, and to be honest I think I liked it better on the Jedi model. This author left Kyle's collar one, a choice I can not begin to father the reasoning for. The collar just looks dumb over the white jumpsuit, and the dark belt really clashes.

Quite possibly the worst part about this mod is the shaders. Neither of them fit. In fact I could go so far as to say they ruin the skin, which may sound harsh, but it's not far from the truth. I think you'll all agree with me when I say the default Rodian clothing is supposed to be cloth. Why then would you give it a shiny shader? It looks so incredibly out of place that it's almost mind-boggling why someone would choose to include it for any reason except that "I could". Kyle is also given a specular shader on his face. Someone must've missed the point of a specularity shader. It's made primarily for things like metals and plastics. I accidentally added a specular shader to a face once, and it does indeed make the face look like plastic. Not a good idea, trust me.

Overall I'd have to label this as an average skin, easy to make, very little creativity, and a couple of bad shader choices. Without those shaders it'd be decent, but with them it really just looks incredibly silly.

CREDITS: 
 - original textures and sound -> LucasArts/Raven Software;
 - 'mapa_srodowiskowa.jpg' and 'mapa_srodowiskowa2.jpg' are just renamed and darkened Raven's textures (used for shader (specular lighting and metalic effect on clothes)).

INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS: Just unpack the archive and throw *.pk3 file in your /Base folder.

DESCRIPTION: In great shortcut: Kyle joined the Exchange crime organization. And now for details. Normally when I have an opportunity and idea I make reskins of females, but this have worked out well too, I think. Basically, it's a reskin of Kyle, who has an outfit from Raven's Rodian. That's right, he wears Rodian's clothes (except his boots, Rodian's boots didn't fit for human ;)), which, I think, makes him more like a mercenary. There are completely new Kyle's extras (belt, collar and accessories). His gloves, beard and moustache are darkened. Also he bears some scars on the face (he's a merc, greed for credits, isn't he?). Shader is giving a metalic-like accent to his clothes. Besides, there is everything that every MP skin should have: bot, npc and team colours. His head and face is now under "lighting conditions". When you go to bright area you'll see a change on his head and face (in other words: specular lighting -> something you see on guns when going from dark areas to bright ones and vice versa), which makes him more realistic, I think. Doesn't have big, noticeable effect on head, but on face it does. Note you must have viewing angle set to 180 degrees to notice anything (screenshot should explain everything). Reskin uses Kyle's sounds, but his taunt is now a mixed variation of saying: "You think you can take me?" plus immediate laugh.

COMMENTS: I know, the title isn't very original, because first I started reskining then I was thinking about title; I'm making things backward as usual :P To spawn an npc, type in console: npc spawn merc_kyle_e to spawn an enemy or npc spawn merc_kyle_a to spawn an ally. You must have 'Detailed Shaders' setting set to 'on' for specular lighting to work.
