Heh, what a treat this is. I know that out of all of HapSlash's Ep3 models, I was looking forward to this the most, because Obi Wan is the coolest, obviously. ;) All I can say is that it truly is a work of art - I find it hard to believe a modder could come up with better than Raven ever could - just look at what they turned Luke into - yet here's proof! Obi-Wan's face is spot on, and I mean right down to that little warty thing by his nose. I review loads of Star-Wars based models, but most of them are only recognisable by the clothes, because the face always seems... wrong. And this is why I love this model over all of those :D Sure, he looks in a slightly angry mood, but by my standards I'd pick this model over any other one currently out for JK3.

Obi comes with full Bot, NPC and Team Support, and 4 different skins. My favourites are the classic robed versions, which come hoodless and non-hoodless, but the war-torn version of his normal clothes (minus the robe) and his standard outfit are also very impressive, and the textures have been modelled to a high standard. The hair, which is usually the worst part of a model, is also very close to the real thing, and I am absolutely positive every Obi-Wan fan will want to download this.

Now, and some of you are gonna hate me for this - there are a few small problems, but let me stress that whilst they are small, they still should be fixed. Firstly the single-player selection doesn't work - it comes up with a model not found error and I end up as a stormtrooper. It still works through the console, but I was kinda looking forward to seeing Obi in the cutscenes. I don't think it's a problem on my end, but it could be. Secondly, while most of the sounds are fitting, some have music in the background, which sounds wierd to me. Still, it's not like I ever use taunts ingame. ;)

Also included in the file is Kenobi's saber from Episode 3. I have never looked closely at his saber so I can't vouch for its realism, but it does look very good. It is also in a seperate pk3 from the SP model and the normal MP model so you can remove it if you wish. I have no doubt this will be a highly-downloaded model, and I am also sure it will keep all the Anakin fans appeased untill HapSlash releases his episode 3 model :)

Model & Textures - HapSlash
Mesh Optimization, Weighting & Conversion,- INFINITY BLADE

Sound files supplied by
Dark Rizer, Overlord, Infinity Blade, and Raven Software

Here we go with the second of the Episode III models that I'm working on, based off of the latest Star Wars movie 'Revenge of the Sith'. It is currently available for both Jedi Outcast and Jedi Academy.

The first pk3 includes both Obi-Wan and his saber models. There are a total of 4 different texture sets in this pk3, the default, red & blue team skins, and then an alternate battle worn version as he appears on Mustafar during the final moments of the film.

This skin can be selected in MP by typing in

model hs_kenobi_rots/battleworn

or for SP mode,...

playermodel hs_kenobi_rots/battleworn

The second pk3, will replace the 1st single hilt in the SP JA game. This pk3 will eventually be replaced with a Revenge of the Sith Weapons Pack that I'm also working on.

Obi-Wan's saber is a new model built specifically for this pack.

Then the third pk3 will inclue everything needed to make the skin available in the SP menu selection screen. I didn't really include any actual customization this time around, I'll be saving that for my next file.

Once again special thank's go out to INFINITY BLADE, without whom this project would still be unfinished.

I'd like to thank Alaris for his wonderful Dooku saber that he created for JA, which was a great inspiration for the textures on this new one.

Then also thanks to everyone on my forums who participated in gathering sounds for the model, While I couldn't include all of theones that were submitted I used what I thought would work the best.

And finally, to everyone else who has kept interest in the project, durring it's many months of compleation.

Simply extract the pk3(s) to the gamedata/base folder of your Jedi Academy directory. The second pk3 (HS-knobi3_saber-SP.pk3) will replace single hilt #1 in the SP JA game. This will overwrite, or be overwritten, by any additional saber replacements you might have already added. So keep this in mind should you find that it doesn't work. The third pk3 will add Obi-Wan into the SP menu selection screen.
