I always liked the rift map in single-player, despite the fact that I always managed to throw myself to a certain death. But the feel of the map was always cool - that feel of a blue, crystal cave. This author has recreated that feel by using the same texture set, but has managed to give the rift a whole new feel. It now strongly resembles a mine, complete with catwalks, rocky walls, and even mine track. It also has that same run-down feel the original rift map had, including crumbling sections and knocked-down pillars.
Personally I love the look of it, but I feel it's really lacking in that it has no music! Nothing brings a map alive better than fitting music, and this map unfortunately has none. It doesn't even have unfitting music. None at all... which is a shame. It also lacks bot support, though for a CTF map that probably isn't really important - what fun is playing CTF against bots anyhow?
Despite these couple of things I'd definitely recommend it. It's large, has what seems to be a well-thought-out CTF-based layout, and plenty of room for the odd duel here and there. Definitely a keeper.
