File Description

With most tweak skins, it's very difficult to tell the difference between the original and the skin, even when compared side-by-side. It is especially more difficult when no comparison is available, so I am happy to say that this particular author felt kind enough to grace us with a comparison shot between his skin, the original, and what he has dubbed a "common" reskin (although I've never noticed this model to be commonly reskinned!). The comparison is actually very important, as it shows some of the important differences.

And there is a difference. A big one. My first thought was "Wow, he actually did something noticible!", something I'm not entirely used to. But this reskin, I have to say, looks leaps and bounds better than the original, and quite a bit better than his "common" reskin example too. I only have two complaints, actually. Maybe three, if you count the team colors being the same as the default. Complaint 1: I would have preferred a happy medium between the helmet shader on the "common reskin" version and this version. It just doesn't seem shiny enough, but the other seems a bit too shiny. Complaint 2: The cape looks awfully flat.

NPC, team, and bot support have all been included, as well as the Vader sounds you have come to expect from such skins. Would I recommend this skin? You betcha. It's realistic, it's got all the goodies, and it just looks awesome. Any RotS fan who passes this skin up should be forced to do pushups.

1.DESCRIPTION
**************
I've decided to make new darth vader skin, in an attempt to recreate vader (his suit),
exactly like he was portrayed in "REVENGE OF THE SITH" and its promotional shots. This
(skin) is different from the usual vader skins, which usually feature more realistic
metal shaders, etc. whereas mine is meant to capture ever detail of the episode III
vader suit, from the big black helmet, black satin cape, black cape chain, greyish black tunic
as well as the glove pattern on the ROTS vader costume.

On the side note i'd also like to add:

1.The textures used in this skin are exclusively created by me, and have not been
"lifted" from other skins/models nor have they been made by simply editing existing
  textures.

2.This is a skin i did, NOT a new model. So yes, it has some clipping issues which
  marz's original model has.

3.This is based on the vader featured in "Revenge.." . So, please don't try to compare
it with the vader seen in the original trilogy.

Since most people can't tell the difference between one vader suit from another, i've
included a comparision shot showing the "alterations". My advice is to at least try the
skin out in the game before making your opinion.

2. NPC LIST
**************
Here are the list of NPC names:

lord_vader_ep3 (spawns a vader to fight with)
lord_vader_buddy(spawns a friendly vader)

USING VADER IN SP:
Open up the console using "Shift + ~"
Type: npc spawn <npcname>
to spawn vader
Type: playermodel <npcname> to play as vader
Using Vader in MP: Simply type the same commands as in SP with a "/" in front of each command.

3.HOW TO INSTALL VADER BREATHING SOUNDS IN SP AND MP
****************************************************

NOTE: The methods described below require editing of the .pk3 files. If you don't know how to edit a
.pk3,or at any point aren't sure of how to continue, please visit the thread related to this skin
at Hapslash's Void, at the following link:

Vader breathing sounds in MP:
To play the vader breathing sounds in MP you will need to run the "OPEN JEDI PROJECT" mod which
can be downloaded at the following link http://ojp.jediknight.net/. Go to "Distrubutions" and
download "OJP enhanced". This is the only way the vader sounds can work in multiplayer, since
it requires modding of the game's "code". Unfortunately it might not work with other mods like
FOrcemod III, Moviebattles II, etc.

VADER BREATHING sounds in SP:
It will work on its own. If you have any problems refer to the trouble-shooting section.
For any questions please post in the following thread:
http://z9.invisionfree.com/Hapslashs_Void/index.php?showtopic=3261

4.TROUBLESHOOTING
******************
When you make the "animevents.cfg" replacement for SP, certain models, like kyle or chewie may start
acting "funny",(as in making sounds when not supposed to). To prevent that just open the up the
"folder" for that model and remove the sound file "ffwarn.mp3" from that directory for that model.
For default game models, this can be found in the assets0.pk3 under sounds/char/<modelname>/misc.
You can do the same for custom models as well, by opening up their .pk3's.(ffwarn is a sound file
used by less than 1% of the models/skins made to date, and its unlikely it will cause problems
on custom models).

The only other bug i can think of is that the breathing sounds will not work with the
team skins.

Any question regarding any issue with the mod can be posted at the thread related to this
skin at HAPSLASH'S VOID:
