File Description

So, do any of you watch that show called "Extreme Makeover"? I don't really watch TV, so I haven't seen it. Though I don't think I'd really watch it anyway. The premise though is to take someone and make them over completely, and not just with a haircut and some new makeup. It involves plastic surgery and other stuff. *shudder* I don't think I could ever do that. Anyway, this is "Extreme Makeover" Tavion. Amidala took the JA Tavion and gave her a new, more attractive look. Tattoos were removed, she was given new makeup and ... stuff ... was added.

There are team skins and everything is colour-coordinated. Even her eye color changes with each skin. There's bot support, but she uses just the default Tavion sounds. Which I suppose is fine, since it still is Tavion, though it would've been nice to hear at least a new taunt. The readme is lengthy and explains a few other things, so be sure to read that in case you run into any bugs. :)

Mod Information

CTF/TFFA Team Support: Yes!

Bot Support: Yes! (bots are enhanced, so watch out!)

NPC Support: Yes! (Red and Blue Tavions each have eight types of NPCs, default Tavion has three types)

Custom Sounds: No (uses standard Tavion sounds).

--------------------------------------------------------

Installation

Put the tavion_extreme_makeover.pk3 file in your \LucasArts\Star Wars Jedi Knight Jedi Academy\GameData\base folder.

IMPORTANT: this mod will override the standard Tavion skins for single-player and multiplayer. I did that on purpose
so that other players who don't have this file will see you as the standard Tavion instead of the default skin (Kyle).

To restore the standard Tavion skins, simply remove or delete the tavion_extreme_makeover.pk3 file from your
\LucasArts\Star Wars Jedi Knight Jedi Academy\GameData\base folder.

--------------------------------------------------------

Concept

The television program "Extreme Makeover" takes average people and gives them thousands of dollars worth
of aesthetic (plastic) and surgery, professional hair and makeup styling, and a new wardrobe, to make them
as attractive as possible.

I decided to give my favorite bad-girl Tavion an "Extreme Makeover" with laser tattoo removal,
hair and makeup changes, and some wardrobe "improvements" to make HER as attractive as possible.

Each Tavion skin has color-coordinated feathers, eyeshadow, and nail polish.

Default Tavion has hazel eyes, Red Tavion has green eyes, and Blue Tavion has blue eyes.

--------------------------------------------------------

Instructions

SUGGESTION: open your console (shift and ~) ingame and enter

/set cg_fov 100

(default is 80). That will move your third-person point of view a little farther back
so you can see more of your character. It will also give you more peripheral vision
so you can more easily see others approaching you from the sides or from behind.

To use the new default Tavion skin, go to Profile, select Team Color: Default,
then select the Tavion icon (with the purple background).

I suggest using Purple for saber color, to match her feathers, eyeshadow, and nail polish.

To use either the Red or Blue Tavion skin, go to Profile, select Team Color: Team RED or Team BLUE,
then select the Tavion icon.

For CTF (Capture The Flag) and TFFA (Team Free For All) simply choose Tavion. Skin color and saber color
that matches your team color will be assigned automatically.

--------------------------------------------------------

Bots

The bots are tavion ("Tavion"), tavion_red ("Temptress"), and tavion_blue ("Tempest").

To add a bot, open the console (shift and ~) and enter

/addbot tavion <skill level> or

/addbot tavion_red <skill level> or

/addbot tavion_blue <skill level>

where <skill level> is a number from 1 to 5, 1 being lowest skill and 5 highest skill.

Examples:

/addbot tavion 2

/addbot tavion_red 4

/addbot tavion_blue 1

The baseline bot skill has been enhanced from standard, so these bots at skill level 1
are the same as a standard Tavion bot at skill level 5 (Jedi Master).

There seems to be a bug with the bots in Jedi Academy. Dark Side bots appear to have Level 3 Lightning,
even if the bot has no Force points allocated to Lightning. The Tavion bots are Dark Siders (of course), and
they like to use their Lightning. If you get tired of it (and aren't using Absorb),
open the console (shift and ~) and enter

/set g_forcepowerdisable 128

then restart the map (/map_restart). This will disable Lightning for the bots (and you too).

--------------------------------------------------------

NPCs

Default Tavion has three standard NPCs (tavion_new, tavion_scepter, tavion_sith_sword).

Red Tavion and Blue Tavion each have eight NPCs, numbered 1 through 8 (tavionred1, tavionred2, etc.).

The Red and Blue Tavion NPCs are based upon Tavion, Alora, and Reborn NPCs and vary in abilities, health,
saber style, etc. They generally get harder to kill going from 1 to 8.

To spawn a NPC (non-player character) on your home computer, CHEATS MUST BE ENABLED
(/helpusobi 1 for single-player, /devmap <mapname> for multiplayer). To spawn a Tavion Extreme Makeover NPC
on a server, the server must have the tavion_extreme_makeover.pk3 file, and cheats must be enabled or
the server must be running an admin mod and you must have admin priveleges.

To spawn a NPC, open your console (shift and ~) and enter

/npc spawn <npc name>

Examples:

/npc spawn tavionred2

/npc spawn tavion_new

/npc spawn tavionblue6
