It's a Tram. Put it in your map. Don't fall on the tracks. Playing around or trespassing on the tracks can result in a fine of up to $500 or 2 weeks in prison.
An improvement, though not that big of an improvement. Basically, all that was changed were a few gameplay tweaks and some benches. The architecture is still basic, but apparently, that's gonna change with the next version.
For those of you who haven't looked at version 1 or the screenshots, read on.
Today we are given a tram prefab. This prefab consists of two towers with a tram moving between them. At each tower is an elevator going to the bottom of the tower, which is revealed to be hollowed out with little thought to visuals.
1. The architecture is too simple, increase this dramatically.
2. The insides of the towers look odd with the hollowed out part. Try adding a ceiling at the bottom of the shaft.
3. Add some real interactivity to this. Like, use scripts to make it so you have to buy a ticket to get on and stuff. (Yes, you can get help with the scripting if you need it!)
Despite short-comings, I look forward to version 2. :D
Author- Hudaw Filesize- 178 KB for the .map 893 KB for the .bsp Version 1.5 ---------------Release notes I've improved a couple of things about the tram station, and they're here for your enjoyment. A list of the improvments/changes is as follows... ---------------V 1.5 I've added some entities to the train station: Benches A Globe map A couple of view screens I've also upped the speed to 400 Wait time was cut down to 25 seconds. Before, the tram could only go one way, now I've fixed it so it will go back and forth. Caulked some previously uncaulked surfaces that were not seen. This will make it load a little faster. Have yet to add lighting in advanced modes for this so that it looks great IN-game. That will come in v 2.0 with better architecture. The platforms have been fixed. I've moved the path_corner on the second tram station so that the tram will line up evenly with the edge of the station, so the Z-fighting is gone. SINCE THE TRAM RAIL THAT THE TRAM IS ATTACHED TO IS ELECTRICAL, IT WILL KILL ANY PLAYER THAT TOUCHES IT. Also, I've clipped the benches so that JA+ players can use the /amsit commands properly, so the actual front of the chair is not solid. ----------------Installation Take out the .map and .bsp files and put them in your gamedata>base>maps directory, IF YOU HAVE GTK RADIANT.
