With as crude a technique as is used to recolor here, I'm surprised to say it still looks pretty cool. I don't think the author intended this, but I find that it looks kind of like foam, which is neat. I'm guessing what the author did here was use the spray can to paint over the colored parts of the reborn new model. I would not normally suggest this, because it's really not a very good way of recoloring, but just enough of the color underneath is showing through to give it kind of a neat look. Not to mention that yellow, while definitely not one of my favorite colors, just tends to look cool. Not on some cars, though.
Of course there are still some issues, especially along the creases. Unless the author feels confident in this technique, I'd suggest maybe trying to find a new one, even though this skin didn't turn out too bad.
