DarK DuDe's "Zombie" creates a believable zombie with all the right effects, but stops short. A zombie is an re-animated dead human, or just an undead human, afflicted by zombism, and, as you've seen it in popular culture, it often can be found in horror films and fiction. Zombies are often unnaturally colored, and may have blood stains from where other zombies have killed them or eaten their flesh. This skin has all of the necessary elements.
The author got the idea of the skin right, and it doesn't necessarily look bad. His face is horrible (in expression, not in quality) and he is heavily stained with blood on his white shirt under what looks to be a lab coat. I guess he came from the science department of horror. He hands are also covered in blood, which suggests that he tried to save himself after being killed, or has killed others. That's properly spooky, and I apologize personally to the author in that he submitted the file on Halloween, but we missed it, and now Halloween has gone by. Let's hope that people remember this file for next year.
What's missing is the extra layer of grotesque detail that really makes a good zombie. I like that the skin isn't corny; it doesn't color the face green or anything. He's pale, but I think the hair and clothing textures could have been better. But we could use some disgusting creaks and groans, some cracks in the skin, and he could stand to be even dirtier than he is. Mud would add to the effect; he looks like he stayed clean in the lab other than the blood. The author chose precisely the right default model, and even the default taunt with that model sounds good with the skin. However, the file doesn't work overall because it isn't spooky enough—a welcome fact for the faint of heart.
