A New Hope was the first Star Wars movie I saw back in the 70's as a child. :D

It was my first as well, though it was a bit more recent. :P

I think episode IV, but that's not for sure.

#4 - That's odd - Posted by: Ryuukotseiz_SITHLORD (Member) on 07-11-2008 at 03:40

I would have thought episode III would be in last place. The first one I watched was the empire strikes back.

I may have saw the original trilogy, but I don't remember it so good. Though I'm sure I was 400% addicted to SW after seeing The Phantom Menace. Episode I brought me to SW :p I was like 9 and a half I think. :donut:

I feel sorry for anyone who didn't see ANH or TPM first. A New Hope was my first Star Wars movie. I was so young I didn't even know what it was at first. Then Darth Vader walked into that all white hall, and made his trademark breathing, and I got hooked.

Star Wars Episode IV: A New Hope. Though back then, it was just known as STAR WARS.

Episode IV was the first that I saw in 1997 when the remastered trilogy was released. From that time, I favoured the Empire crushing rebel scum! (I nearly cried at the end of ROTJ:'()

A New Hope waaay back in '76 (pretty sure that was the year it was released). I won't say how old I was, because just seeing '76 in print makes me feel aged.

My first was the original Star Wars (A New Hope) when it was released. Shem you are not that old, I was a young adult at the time and hook instantly. I waited for each new Episode to come out and seen them all as soon as they were released. It was a long wait between E6 and E1. I was very Happy when Lord of the Rings was released a year apart. :)

#16 - Posted by: Loco_Modder (Member) on 07-11-2008 at 16:51

I think it was ROTJ or ESB. I'm assuming ROTJ, cuz that's the one I remember best. I was a fan long before I saw any of the movies; my dad told me the stories when I was just a wee laddie.

The first one I saw was Episode IV, in the Special Edition. Since then, I got the Limited Edition DVDs & saw Han shoot first for the first time. ;)

#23 - Posted by: Hero_of_the_Jedi (Member) on 07-14-2008 at 03:01

a new hope for life.

#24 - Posted by: Fiestainabox (Member) on 07-14-2008 at 11:22

A new hope back in '97, or whenever the trilogy was re-released. Me, my sister, and my parents watched them all in order from ANH to ROTJ, when I found out PM was coming out I tweaked :). The Only one I couldn't sit through was Attack of the Clones, I got so bored, I later watched it though.

Star Wars Episode IV: A New Hope for me. I first saw it with my Uncle at his place in 1997 when the Remastered Trilogy Edition came out. And about a day later I owned the exact same Star Wars Trilogy Boxed Set on VHS haha. Jeez I can't believe its been 11 years since I first got into the Star Wars Trilogy although I did get my first Storm Trooper Action Figure in 1994 so maybe I saw them earlier than that but I really can't say for sure. :)

#26 - Posted by: AndreaKenobi (Member) on 07-14-2008 at 13:46

A New Hope was my first. I saw it when I was 4 in 1997 20th anniversary, in the same theater my mum saw it 9 times.

#27 - Posted by: TandaAvery (Member) on 07-15-2008 at 06:38

A New Hope was my first! I think I saw it on Fox when they played the old trilogy before PM came out. I think I was six or seven then. :)

#28 - Posted by: DarklordXana (Member) on 07-15-2008 at 16:36

Episode Four. By far the best in the Saga.

#30 - Posted by: nea200pl (Member) on 07-16-2008 at 02:12

It was Episode V: The Empire Strikes Back with german dubbing and polish lector reading above it. Go figure what it did to Vader's voice but I got very seriously addicted since then. :D I was around 12, maybe 13, can't remember for sure.

#31 - Posted by: eXanX (Member) on 07-16-2008 at 07:55

I think it was either EP 4 or 5 sometime in late 90s. My favorite is EP3 though :D

#32 - Posted by: A_L_I_E_N (Member) on 07-17-2008 at 00:40

Well, we can say that the 1st generation of SW fans were obviously watching ANH first. The 2nd generation, such as myself, probably saw TPM.
