Well this is fun.. two awesome mods from Shem in one day. It is not surprising though, Shem is an awesome modder and when he puts out a mod he goes all out. It looks like this one is the counterpart to the one I just reviewed last. Well I know that you all have heard my speech from the last one so I am going to get right into the review.
This mod is actually very unique in several ways 1 it deals with the way your characters gain feats, 2 it uses a 2da file that is really not used very much, and three well it is just plain cool. What this mod does is it upgrades the amount of feats you gain on every level up cycle. That way instead of getting maybe 1 or 2 feats you are going to be getting double that or more depending on your class. This mod also gives you feats based on class like lets say for example you were a bounty hunter, it will try give you more feats based on that class. So you can definitely see how this mod would come in handy throughout the entire game.
So like I said before on the last review I did, I have to hand it to you Shem. Not only did you make a way cool mod you made it for both games. That takes real skill and patients, so I have to commend you on that one.;) Now to all of you out there just waiting to get your hands on this.... enjoy.:D
Note: Please leave the author feedback, especially if you download this mod and use it. It really helps encourage the author to make more mods in the future.
****************************** KNIGHTS OF THE OLD REPUBLIC II ****************************** Title: Feat Progression Author: Shem Date Released: 3/9/07 Description: So you want more feats for your character and party members, huh? If you do, you have come to the right place. This idea has been done before in TSL by Joris, but I made my own person version back in 2005 when TSL was very new and I'm releasing this version for the first time publicly. What's different about my version is that each character class has their own personal progression. Soldiers will get more feats than Scouts, and Scouts get more feats than Scoundrels. That means Jedi Guardians get more feats than Jedi Sentinals, and Jedi Sentinals get more feats than Jedi Consulars. That also means Jedi Weapon Masters/Sith Marauders get more feats than Jedi Watchman/Sith Assassins, and Jedi Watchman/Sith Assassins get more feats than Jedi Masters/Sith Lords. I also took in consideration that the Combat Droid class (which is HK-47), did not get many feats, so that is changed so HK-47 will be able to have more combat skill feats he deserves. Since in TSL you start off as either a Guardian, Sentinal, or Consular, you will be able to choose 4 feats to start your character. I figured you should start off with a boost. However since some of your party members can become Jedi and they become the classes your PC can start off with, that means they'll also get 4 feats to start their new Jedi class. I can't get around that. However, you start off with two feats when you get your Prestige class (Jedi Weapon Master, Sith Marauder, Jedi Watchman, Sith Assassin, Jedi Master, and Sith Lord). How many feats you get after that at each level depends on each class and I'm not going to list each one of them for each class because it would take too much time and really fill up this readme. The information I have given you should be enough to give you an idea how this works. Instructions: Just put the featgain.2da file in your override folder and enjoy! Acknowledgements: Like I said, this idea has been done before by Joris, but mine is different than his than the way each class progresses. I'm releasing to give this type of option if you want it.
