Here we have an updated version of Inyri Forge's Opposition Launcher. Updated and ready to rock! Noticable changes include: Lightsaber graphic fix, lightsaber floor glow added and the black spot in KotOR2 logo has been removed.
Here is my previous review of this launcher.
Now this is quality! This has to be one of the best launcher files we have here at the site (yes there are a lot to choose from). Inyri has constructed this launcher to represent a confrontation between Nihilus and Mandalore. The great thing about this launcher is that it differes from most, that being that Inyri has created the whole image herself. Normally with other launchers they have pre-made images, which is good don't get me wrong but it does kind of take away from the personal feeling of it being totally made by you. Button positions have been moved to allow the viewer to enjoy the picture without obstruction. The button click sound has also been changed to a blaster shot. I'm really suprised that everything has blended as well as they did. The background, models she rigged in her modeling program and the new buttons all blend in nicely forming one hell of a good launcher. Another great addition to the *cough* ever growing launchers on this site:P Great work.
*********************************** Knights of the Old Republic 2 *********************************** TITLE: Opposition Launcher v2.0 AUTHOR: Inyri Forge E-MAIL: firstname.lastname@example.org FILENAME: opposition_2_if.zip FILESIZE: 1.32 mb DATE RELEASED: 25 June 2006 BUILD TIME: A few hours --------- CHANGELOG --------- -Lightsaber graphic "fixed", as Shem complained about it -Slight lightsaber floor glow added -Black spot in KotOR2 logo removed -------- CREDITS -------- Bioware, for providing the models I worked with, as well as several images and image bits. -------------------------- INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS -------------------------- First of all, backup your entire launcher folder. The easiest way to do this is to make a new folder within the launcher folder called "backup" or something similar, and copy all the files from the launcher folder into it. Next, put all the contents of the zip into your SWKotOR/launcher directory. This will overwrite what is already there, which is why I suggest you backup first. ------------ DESCRIPTION ------------ It's a launcher, using custom-posed KotOR models. After my last launcher I wanted something a little more involved, plus I felt like since I did a KotOR launcher, I should do a KotOR2 launcher this time. The buttons aren't the way I would like, but given the constraints I did what I could. Basically what I did was I imported a few KotOR models into my modelling program, posed them (since I discovered when you import KotOR models they're actually already rigged), and set them up on a backdrop (which is actually the Ravager, though I make no claims that the textures are accurate... I guessed when applying them). It's not incredibly in depth, but I personally like it better than the default launcher. ----- BUGS ----- None, I hope. Well, the click sound may sound a bit weird, but this is because it will only play the entire sound if you hold down the button long enough for it to finish. Yes, I could've left it or made it a nice clicky sound, but I like the blaster shot and think it fits in with the theme of the launcher. See? Technically not a bug, but I was nice enough to tell you anyway! ------------------- DISTRIBUTION NOTES ------------------- You may not redistribute this mod or any material contained within in any form without my express permission.
