Puck Udroc is making his FileFront debut with this file. He’s very new to the modding community, so he started off with something simple, yet different than anything I’ve ever seen released publicly for Knights of the Old Republic II: The Sith Lords. It’s a mask that gives you the face of Mandalore. To be strait, he calls his mod Ordo’s Head Mod, so that should be a hint if you are familiar with the original Knights of the Old Republic game. In fact the screenshot will tell all once you check it out for those who didn’t figure it out. It’s Canderous Ordo.
Canderous took over as the new Mandalore between the events of Knights of the Old Republic and Knights of the Old Republic II: The Sith Lords. He received word where to find the Mandalore’s helmet to take over the role and decided to unite the Mandalorian clans together on Dxun. It is Mandalorian tradition that whoever is Mandalore, he always wears the Mandalore helmet and armor.
Anyway, Obsidian did make a model that has Canderous out of his Mandalore helmet, but you can’t get access to it without during a personal modification with the KOTOR Tool. The author did it and decided to release it publicly. One thing to notice about seeing Canderous’ face in TSL is the fact that he’s sporting a beard showing that in the past five years since the defeat of Darth Malak in KOTOR, Canderous decided to grow facial hair.
The one thing that jumped out on me when reading through the readme is that it says that it doesn’t have any stats, but then it says it add +10 to your strength. After checking over the details of the .uti file, the +10 strength is included to this item. So basically when you make it so Canderous takes his helmet off, he also gets bonus strength. Also to note in the picture, you will see the headgear near the ears of Canderous’ face and that will happen with this mod if you equip this headgear based on the fact that it’s also using that type of headgear model number with the appearance change. The author would have to use a different type of item slot to prevent a headgear appearance if he’s looking to get rid of that look.
You will have to have your cheats activated to use this mod. The information to get the item you need to make the change to Canderous is listed in the readme. This item is also restricted for Canderous only. Have fun! :D
Note: Please leave the author feedback, especially if you download this mod and use it. It really helps encourage the author to make more mods in the future.
====================================================== A KNIGHTS OF THE OLD REPUBLIC (II: THE SITH LORDS) MODIFACATION ====================================================== AUTHOR: Puck Udroc EMAIL: email@example.com NAME: Ordo's Head Mod CREDITS: Myself FILENAME: a_mask_head.uti FILE SIZE: 2kb DATE RELEASED: 9/23/06 DESCRIPTION: This is a fairly simple mod I made. You all love how Mandalore Canderous Ordo has an irremovable helmet, right? Not anymore! Well, sort-of. This is an item called "Mandalore's Head" and it is only available for Ordo. Item Description: "Only seen when he needs to eat, Mandalore Canderous Ordo can take off his helmet." It doesn't have any other stats, and is restricted to Mandalore. This is only version 1, so it will get better in time. Just use the cheat module and type in "giveitem a_mask_head" without the quotes. I know, a bit odd kind of code, but hey, it works. Adds Strength + 10 INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS: Just drop the file a_mask_head.uti into your override. Delete to uninstall COMMENTS: Playing around with modding tools, and found His head, and decided to use it. BUGS: I first equipped it on the Ebon Hawk, and he just appeared without a head. Once I left, it was fine though, and also when I got back on. PERMISSIONS: This mod may not be distributed on other sites without the express permission of myself. Don't worry, I'll give you permission, but not if you don't ask. THIS MODIFICATION IS PROVIDED AS-IS AND IS NOT SUPPORTED BY BIOWARE/OBSIDION ENTERTAINMENT OR LUCASARTS OR ANY LICENSERS/SPONSORS OF THE MENTIONED COMPANIES. USE OF THIS FILE IS AT YOUR OWN RISK AND THE ABOVE MENTIONED COMPANIES OR THE AUTHOR IS NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR ANY DAMAGE CAUSED TO YOUR COMPUTER FOR THE USAGE OF THIS FILE.
