You know, it's not that often we get these sorts of mods - ones that fixes existing content in some way, rather than adds something new. (Not that I'm insinuating it's a bad thing, mind you.)
What this does is remove one of the more pointless animations played during a dialogue with Atton, in which he insists on typing in the air while conversing with the PC. And while the Hawk was on auto-pilot to Telos, no less. Fairly pointless all in all. It's a good improvement if you're looking for realism or can't stand Atton looping the same mal-fitting animation over and over.
On the flip side, though, it doesn't help to alleviate the problem of NPCs conversing with each other in what's always the same manner - standing up, face to face. There's rarely any instances where they're sitting down, lying down, not looking directly at each other, or engaged in some other task at the same time. All in all it depends which of those you prefer the least.
Note: Please remember to give the author of the mod feedback, as the download count isn't particularly verbose. Written comments tend to be much more useful and encouraging.
Mod: Peragus II runaway cutscene improvements Date: 25-05-2008 Author: FrantFire Game: Kotor 2 TSL This is a brief simple mod which changes the camera angles used when Atton talks to the exile in the Ebon Hawk right after escaping the Peragus mining facility, and after Kreia has gone to her quarter in the vessel. Basically I didn't like the scene where Atton type "in the air" with the game default camera used while talking to the PC, so I changed most of the cameras in the dialog file. Now he first sits facing the exile -without typing- and then stands up to continue the conversation with the PC. The screenshots will make this clear enough. Also added a flirting animation to a single nod where Atton refers his preferences about being "stuck" in an escape pod with a female exile instead of being with Kreia ... INSTALLATION: Simply drop the files to your Override folder (don't copy the Readme.txt if you don't want to). If you don't have one create an Override folder from your C:Program filesLucasArtsSWKotOR2 folder. If you already have a 003atton.dlg file in your Override folder backup first!! before overwriting it with this mod because this file is not compatible with other mods that modify this dialog. UNINSTALLATION: Delete the 003atton.dlg and the Readme.txt from your TSL Override folder. BUGS: none of importance, but consider that if you don't save your game after arriving on Telos Citadel Station and you somehow die (which is not easy until a while when you arrive on Telos for first time); then when you reload the savegame for some reason now Atton will stand facing the Ebon Hawk's cockpit instead of the PC, even though the listener field (DLGEditor) of the node "How's our passenger? She still aging?" is set to "player". If anyone knows why this is happening and/or how to fix it, contact me to fix this little annoyance. (if you quit the whole game and relaunch it then when you reload the savegame the cutscene will show properly again ..., odd ah?) PERMISSIONS: use this as you wish, just give me the credits for working this dialog file.
