Realistic Nar Shaddaa Skybox

One of the things that give the planets some life and character are the skyboxes that the game creators make. Skyboxes are the backgrounds that you get to only look at. In the case of Nar Shaddaa, it just seems so dark there which can make it seem very depressing spending a lot of time on the moon of Nal Hutta since they decided to do Nar Shaddaa at night. Since they did it at night, you would think it would stand out more with the lights of the city moon shining as we saw in the BIK movies.

Sharen Thrawn makes is FileFront debut with a new skybox to really brighten up Nar Shaddaa when you visit the moon of Nal Hutta in the game Knights of the Old Republic II: The Sith Lords. I really got excited at the new background in the screenshots the author provided, but was really amazed when I saw them in my game and will be keeping this in my override folder permanently.

I suppose I haven’t checked out the textures used in the modules much because I was surprised that there was only two textures used and thought maybe the author forgot some when I went to test it, but they are all there in every module that has a view of the citywide moon so don’t be alarmed when you check out the files before installing. This is really awesome for a first public mod. Enjoy the new skybox! :D

This is my first Kotor mod ever. I've always thought the original Nar Shaddaa skybox looked a bit lousy and nothing like the beautiful city we could seen in the BIK movies. That's why I decided to create this simple reskin mod. This mod changes the original Nar Shaddaa skybox. Hopefully you will like it.

Simple extract 'NAR_sky1.tga' and 'NAR_skyB.tga' files into your Overdrive foler.

Simply remove 'NAR_sky1.tga' and 'NAR_skyB.tga' files from your Overdrive foler.
