We got another FileFront debut. Hangout Hermit is making a first appearance as a modder in the Knights of the Old Republic community at the FileFront section. The author has come up with a clever idea for a first time mod. If he’s done any work outside of this network, I’m not familiar with it.
Anybody remember how you had the option to warp back to the Ebon Hawk in the original Knights of the Old Republic game? Anybody miss that little feature in sequel, Knights of the Old Republic II: The Sith Lords? Well, if you did, Hangout Hermit is your man. He has devised a new armband that when you activate it, it will warp you back to the Ebon Hawk. Well, actually in the Ebon Hawk. It’s a little different than the previous feature in the original game.
If you are wondering why in the Ebon Hawk, the reason being is that if you warp in front of the Ebon Hawk, you have to account for each module that Ebon Hawk can be at and I’m betting that’s no easy task. It’s much easier to just go in the Ebon Hawk because you only have to program in one module. I wonder how many won’t read what I just wrote to why the author did what he did and ask. Just look at it this way, it gets you back if you want to get back there quickly. Sounds good, right?
Now, you may have already taken the time to see the screenshot and the Ebon Hawk warp band highlighted and that picture was taken on Peragus. My first thoughts were I hope nobody is crazy enough to try that, or at least if they do, they know the module warp code to get back to where they were or they’re going to regret it. I read the readme and the author did state that he made it so you can’t use it on Peragus, the Restoration Zone of Telos, or on any of the other Ebon Hawk modules. Hopefully that includes all of Telos since you’re not supposed to be able to get access to the Ebon Hawk until you leave the planet.
This mod uses the TSL Patcher for easy installation and spells.2da file merging. Make sure you read the readme on how to access the armband. Enjoy the mod.
Note: Please leave the author feedback, especially if you download this mod and use it. It really helps encourage the author to make more mods in the future.
TSL Ebon Hawk Armband. Creator: Hangout Hermit Email: email@example.com Description: In KotOR I was very pleased how on certan maps, I could warp back to the Ebon Hawk. However on TSL I was very dissapointed that they left out this feture. I have made a simple armband, which will allow you warp simple to 003ebo, which is the Normal Ebon Hawk. Once you have it you will have to equip it. It should appear in the armband section. You can simply activate it and it will warp you. I have also added another function so that if you are already in ANY of Ebon Hawk modules, Peragus, The restoration zones of Telos and Malachor, you can't warp there again. This will stop all you cheaters. :) The list of files is as follows: Script files: hhEboWarp.ncs hhEboWarp.nss -* This is as a recource only.
