The one thing about Darth Malak about his lightsaber blade itself was the fact that it was a long blade to go with this 7 foot height. The original way BioWare made it was that it was a red blade just for Malak. ChAiNz.2da thought the idea of using the long bladed lightsabers for all colors would be just fantastic for those who like ‘em. Chainz wasn’t the original I don’t think with this idea, I think it was RedHawke. However, I think Chainz was the first person who used the Mantle of the Force and Heart of the Guardian colors for the long blades. The thing was, this mod was only made for the first Knights of the Old Republic game.

DarthDingDong returns yet again with another mod that mimics Chainz’s mod that was especially made for the sequel, Knights of the Old Republic II: The Sith Lords. The long red blade model was already in TSL game, it just wasn’t available in any way to get your hands on without resorting to modding. The author did convert Chainz’s original mod for TSL with Chainz’s permission. There is no porting issue either because the asset of the long blade is in TSL already so it’s perfectly legal.

The mod does use the upcrystals.2da file and if you have one in your override folder, it will not be compatible with the author’s .2da file. If you have the KOTOR Tool, the author did include a picture of how to edit the file for those who love visuals. Enjoy the long bladed sabers for TSL! :D

                       Or You Can Just Cheat The Sabers In.
