The robe styles in the Knights of the Old Republic era are definitely original looking. They may not be the best looking robes available, but they’re definitely one of a kind; especially in the first Knights of the Old Republic game. There however a robe model that isn’t used by default for the male characters. You can find that style for females at the end of the game celebration on the light side.

90SK is back yet again. After two great releases for Knights of the Old Republic II: The Sith Lords, the author now takes his brilliant skills into the first Knights of the Old Republic game and made a new robe mod for us to enjoy. The male robe model I mention in the first paragraph is used and the author decided to just dump the idea of using the female version and use the Bastila robe model. I totally agree with this move after knowing what that female version of the robe he is talking about. It really is awful looking.

With those two models mentioned in the second paragraph, the author made a total of 12 new robes. The screenshots tell it all how well they turned out. After looking through the TGA files the author made, I can tell you that he really did a wonderful job with these.

The author really did a cool thing by giving four textures each for the different types of robe classes. There are three different classes; the Jedi Robe class (default defense bonus of 1), the Knight Robe class (default defense bonus of 2), and the Master Robe class (default defense bonus of 3). Those three classes traditionally share four different textures by dividing up the twelve textures among the three robe classes. The author really distinguished the different robe classes with this maneuver. Bravo! I really look forward to seeing what 90SK comes up with next. Enjoy the new robes everybody! :D

Purpose: To remedy the sorely lacking robe content in KotOR 1.

Installation: copy files in to your override folder in the SWKotOR folder

Uninstallation: Delete the files 

Note: First off, let me apolgize for the female versions not looking exactly like the male versions. I discovered, with dissatisfaction, that the female model originally intended to counter the male one looks atrocious in game. So, I decided to use Bastila's model instead for the female versions. As such, they don't look exactly alike. Also, the model clipping: I can't do anything about that aside from ignore it, so you should too! Seriously though, I'm deeply sorry that I didn't discover the wonton model clipping issues with the flaps on this robe before I did all the skins for it, otherwsie I might've chosen a different set of models to work with. But that's water under the bridge, and it's an issue I'm willing to overlook.
