Chained Force Lighting

Force Lightning was first introduced to us in 1983 when Return of the Jedi was released. Darth Sidious was using it to slowly kill Luke Skywalker because he refused to turn to the dark side of the Force after defeating his father, Darth Vader. It’s a power that people who practice the dark side of the Force can use. Only Darth Sidious and Darth Tyranus are the only Sith Lords in the Star Wars movies ever used this power.

TK102 – The author who brought us the most popular utility mod in the history of KotorFiles (the KSE) brings us a mod that will change the way Force Lightning is used in the first Knights of the Old Republic game. What it will do is turn it into chained lightning. The change is when you shoot out Force Lightning, it will arc from one enemy to another and sometimes hit the same enemy twice. To get the best effect would be to have at least three enemies.

Keep in mind that his only works with the Force Lightning power, not the Force Shock or Force Storm power. Those are still normal in the game with this new script by tk102. This is also an older mod by the author as it was created back on January 9, 2005. It’s only new to KotorFiles. Enjoy the mod! :D

Note: Please leave the author feedback, especially if you download this mod and use it. It really helps encourage the author to make more mods in the future.

"Chained" Force Lighting v1.0Clean
by tk102

Note: This version uses the "Shock" beam effect which is less
noisy visually than the original "Lightning" beam effect. You
may prefer one over the other...

This mod will change the behavior of the Force Lightning power
such that the lightning will arc from enemy to enemy rather
than hitting multiple enemies all at once. An enemy can be hit
by more than one arc after two arcs have discharged. Thus a
group of 3 enemies or more is needed to complete a "circuit".

First arc: 1d6 per Jedi level of best Jedi class (max: 10d6)
Subsequent arcs: diminished by 1d6 for every arc after the 1st

 17m per arc
