This mod adds a number of additions to the final dialogue with Carth DSF players get to have. The first of which is a restored ending that allows the PC, at Carth's behest, to kill Bastila and thus allow the Republic to destroy the Star Forge. The side effect of that is the PC getting destroyed with it, but it was supposed to be a sad ending.
In addition to the aforementioned ending, there's now a plethora of options you have to deal with Carth. He can be mind-controlled to join the Sith, persuaded to join them (for several entirely different reasons), convinced to just leave, or as mentioned above you can listen to him and kill Bastila. Or if you managed to redeem Malak you can even redeem her as well (though you'll have to be using Kristy Kistic's alternate ending mod to do that).
As you can no doubt tell, this mod adds a lot of new dialogue. For the most part, the writing is excellent and Carth is completely in-character. There's a few grammatical errors, and the new dialogue isn't voiced, but it's more than overlookable. I could definitely have seen the developers writing this, and there's a few choice lines for which I couldn't - but I won't spoil those.
If you play a DSF Revan this mod is a must-download. I look forward to anything Strudel Man might later release.

INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS: Unzip to your main KotOR folder - files should be placed in the Override, modules, and lips folders. If installing over the "two alternate endings" mod, there will be some files you need to overwrite. COMMENTS: The basic idea for this mod came from my dissatisfaction with the fact that the other three gender/alignment combinations have at least a satisfactory resolution to their romance plots, but DS women have no other option than to kill their love interest, at least in the base game. I was actually inspired to make a mod for it myself, though, after playing Kristy Kistic's impressive "2 alternate endings" mod, which included getting him to join by force persuasion. Mind control isn't exactly romance, though, so I decided to try to write some additional dialogue myself to try to achieve what I was hoping for. The final product includes two paths of persuasion, one (relatively) light-sided, the other corrupting him, as well as a force persuasion route. Overall, it's far from perfect - the most glaring flaw is the fact that it's unvoiced, since I don't sound much like Carth myself and I doubt that Raphael Sbarge would be up for some pro bono work. The 'corruption' path also isn't terribly believable, but there isn't much way around that without adding dialogue throughout the game allowing the player to corrupt him gradually, instead of in one brief conversation at the end. But it's still at least vaguely enjoyable, I hope. I've included the sources to the (very simple) scripts I wrote for it, and an autosave from after killing Malak. The autosave can be dropped into your 'saves' folder - it picks up at the start of the final conversation with Carth, and could be useful if you don't want to play through the entire game again. The mod should also work fine dropped into the middle of an existing save, as it doesn't require you to start a new game to work properly. Convincing Carth to stay with you without mind control is something that can, potentially, go wrong - I didn't make the path to it particularly difficult, but it is more than just a persuasion check. Just keep in mind that if you don't want to corrupt him, you have to show him that there's still good in you he can protect, and if you do want to, you have to make an appeal beyond just logic. My thanks go to Kristy Kistic, for permitting the use of her work for this mod, and for inspiring me to make it in the first place. BUGS: There are two occasional bugs I can't seem to eradicate. One is that the final cutscene will once in a while play without sound. The other is that when the player takes the option to kiss Carth, the camera will sometimes cut to him without showing the PC's approach first. As far as I can tell, it does this because the player's responses are essentially instant, so the script sometimes doesn't manage to halt the dialogue in time.
