One of the cool things about roll playing games such as the Knights of the Old Republic games is the fact that not only do you work alone in your quest, but you get help, which in the case they call them party members. There are a lot of things they help you with depending on their talents such as either combat or specialized skills.
Sometimes I think we get a little bored of some of the current party members and need someone new to follow our PC around. One of the species we are introduced to in the original Knights of the Old Republic game are the Selkath. There’s a specific female Selkath that you have a chance to run into on the planet of Manaan called Shasa. Her father, Shaelas; has asked your PC to find her in the Sith Base, which spawn her in the Sith Base and you have a chance to redeem her from the Sith ways, or destroy her.
HandoKinral returns to the modding scene that gives you a chance to recruit Shasa to your party. That’s right; the female Selkath will become one of your party members with this mod if you want her to. Since it’s hardcoded that we cannot add party members to choose from, but replace current existing ones, somebody had to get kicked out. The author chose Mission Vao. If you’re a fan of her and want to have her around most of the time, this mod won’t be for you. If you don’t use her much, then this will give you something new to try without feeling like you’re missing anything. I would make sure you have completed Tatooine before going to Manaan with this mod if you like to finish Mission’s (Griff) brother quest first.
Things to consider when downloading this mod; Selkath do not have melee weapon animations, so blaster or hand to hand combat is the only thing you really can do with some fighting animations with it. So using swords or a lightsaber would make Shasa looking like she’s frozen in carbonite during combat. This mod does not have a portrait for Shasa in the party selection menu. Also keep in mind that this mod was done by request from Running_Turtle. Enjoy the new recruit! :D
