i picked other because it is a mod for a very old engine, a new moh game would have more popularity because mohaa is no longer in its peak and EA will market well as always.

All depends on whether people can be bothered to D/L the new mod or not. It's hard enough getting them to install any custom maps. At least we know that the new mod will work on peoples current computers. We can't say the same about EA's new game. Pacific Assault and Airborne failed because most PCs could not run them (simple as that). Hence, small sales equals a small multiplyer community - which in turn leads to the game being a flop. So a lot depends on how EA approach the system specs. And - is Afganistan a good choice in itself? Will it appeal to gamers long term?

right on Railway. It certainly is the modders/mappers that are keeping moh alive and certainly this area of filefront!

EA games doesn't care about the customer just about the money and they use their old greatest games to try and sell their new games. Alot of EA's games don't have much uniqueness to them (exception of a few games like MOHAA).

Good point Railway - Every time we run a custom map on the server we lose everyone playing except members. Why don't people download some of the fantastic maps out there?
