No Man's Sky: Beyond major update releases soon

By FileTrekker 4 years ago, last updated 4 years ago

There's another massive update coming to No Man's Sky later this month, which will bring major multiplayer changes, as well as changes to the social layer, and adding VR support to the game.

The last major update, Next, released last year and really turned around the fortunes of the game which had something of a troubled initial launch. It's hoped that the Beyond update will bring similar acclaim, with some major new features on the way.

In fact, the update is three separate updates that Hello Games have decided to hold onto to bring players one major update in one go.

Arguably one of the biggest new updates is VR support, which as you can imagine, fits really nicely into the game. Mainly being sat in the cockpit of a space vehicle really lends itself to the platform.

Although we also know that there will be major changes to multiplayer and social interaction, we don't have any more specifics. The company did say the update would bring a "radical new social and multiplayer experience which empowers players everywhere in the universe to meet and play together" - but the rest remains a mystery.

The update will drop on the 14th of August, just 11 days from now, and we'll be sure to bring you any news as soon as we learn it.
