Buildings are available in "stone", "sand" and "stone dark" sets. Most complex buildings are "caravanserails". Other more individual buildings : two row house, medersa, carpets shop, baker shop, sheep-fold, etc. Map is optimized for 1500m maximum view distance to have optimum landscape without too much lag. All buildings are climbable to permit two horizontal dimensions fights even if AI doesn't use this feature as far as we would like it. Toponyms and their transcription in dahri arab alphabet are (1) conform and (2) toponyms from East-Afghanistan towns, but the localization and the appearance of these towns are not conform to reality. Arab inscriptions on the doors and mosques pediment are drawn from penmanship of verses of the Coran. Carpets texture come from real afganese carpets. Also available : arab penmanships in houses and medersas (coranic schools) with farsi arab alphabet and Afghanistan map. As possible towns have been conceived as "viable" : arid agriculture and breeding, goats and sheeps, shops, religious establishments of different sizes, residences of the bourgeoisie in the center of the city / in the heights near mosques or in suburbs. The largest of them have medinasleaned to the mosque. In certain villages in the moutain, you can find fields of opium and sheep-folds. Presence of drive camps in some deep valleys. Relief is coherent (even if it's not always obvious) : cluses, glacial valleys, high plateaus, hydrolic networks, arid environment erosion, etc. Objects and textures are completly suited to be used for rural maps of type as Morroco, Algeria, Libya, Egypt, Yemen, Palestine, Syria, Irak, Iran and Pakistan. Creators of maps for OFP are highly encouraged to use them if they like them. KNOWN BUGS : - Lag in medinas ; AI has difficulties to penetrate in the medinas. - Some faces are not correctly lighted, in particular the walls and the stairs which leaned them. - Buildings have only 2 lods, a third one would be appreciated. *********** **CREDITS** *********** 100% hand made by Remo ;) Thanks to all who have answered me in the OFP-FR and BIS forumes.
